I was assigned to T-13 out of the Chicago Fire Academy in June of 1987. I met Bill a few times on the job at fire responses. I remember him as being a big guy and having encouraging words to me as a candidate, the new guy on the job. I’ll remember him along with the fire memorial for the members of T-58 in Fireman’s Park in Logan Square. “Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them”.
