Obituary's Biography:
Willard J. Clauser, age 96, a resident of Wildwood, passed away Tuesday, September 10th, 2019 at Advocate Condell Hospital. He was born April 7th, 1923 in Chicago to David C. and Olive K. (Kaufman) Clauser. He was a veteran of WW2 and the Battle of the Bulge, where his strong faith helped him get through. He was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Union Local 73, celebrating 75 years this year. He enjoyed gardening, bee keeping, tinkering with and building things, helping others whenever possible, but most of all he loved his family and grandchildren He is preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Barbara, whom he married on August 23rd, 1944; his son John, and his two brothers, George and Edwin. He is survived by his children, Greg (Paula) of Wildwood, and Bill and his fiancée, Susan, of Johnsburg, and Joe (Carol) of Gurnee, 17 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild all of whom he called George. Friends of the family may visit from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a funeral service commencing at 8:00pm on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL 60030.
