Obituary's Biography:
Wilfredo Ang Reyes, 73, a resident of Round Lake, passed away on July 11, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born on March 24, 1945, in the Philippines to Ricardo and Magdalena Reyes. A proud Veteran, Reyes joined the US Navy in the Philippines in 1967, served in Vietnam and retired in 1989 after 22 years of service. After Military retirement, he spent 16 years at Commonwealth Edison/Midwest Generation. He is survived by his wife Frida, son Richard, daughter Rebecca (Jason) Falkinham, son Rick, granddaughter Madison Falkinham, sister Remedios (Artemio) Mendoza, brother Apolonio (Wendy), numerous nephews, nieces and their families. He loved to fish, drive in the countryside and was an avid military aficionado. He was a true patriot and extremely proud of his military service. Visitation will be Friday, July 20 from 8:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Creamtorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030, with the Funeral/Mass at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church 27551 Volo Village Rd, Volo, IL 60073. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Road. To the family of Wilfredo Reyes and to our dear friend Rick…Please accept our deepest sympathy. We are out of town with our families and the sad news caught us by surprise. We encourage you to remember the many good times and memories that you have of time spent with Mr. Reyes…we pray that it will help you through this time of sorrow and grief. Find comfort amongst each other that whatever suffering he may have been going through is now passed and that he is preparing a place for you in God’s home-Heaven. We hope to catch up with Rick before the new school year begins. May God grant Mr Reyes peace as he now rests with the Lord.
