Wilbur “Nick” Lincoln Nickerson
Obituary's Biography:
Nick passed easy at the age of 85 on Thursday August 14, 2014 in his home in Wildwood, IL surrounded by those who love him the most; JoAnn Legault “Pj”, loving and caring companion for over 30 years, Steve “Fizzy”, Kerri “The Nayba”, Erin, Steven, Brandon “Monster”, especially Logan, his Big Boy, and Dahlah who never left his side. He was born February 12, 1929 in Fall River, MA, raised by his grandmother at Westport Factory until the age of 5 and grew up in Little Compton, RI. He is survived by his son Donald L. (Shirlee) Nickerson, a grandson Gregory, a granddaughter Christina McKenzie and 2 great-grandsons Matthew and Michael Mckenzie. He will be tremendously missed by his Oklahoma family and skating friends, and other family and friends too numerous to mention. He worked for ComEd for 37and ½ years as a Lineman Special and has enjoyed his 27 and ½ years of retirement. He was a die hard roller skater all of his life, skating his last dance in April. The Old Man has requested that all come to celebrate his life with a cup of coffee and a bowl of soup at Mrs. V’s Restaurant, 855 E. Rollins Rd.
