Velora E. Wilhelm
Obituary's Biography:
Velora Eva Wilhelm, 96, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away January 22, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. She was born October 11, 1927 in Waukegan, IL to Michael and Marie (nee: Bobene) Jaremus.
Velora always had a knack for creating beautiful and unique crafts for others to enjoy. Whether it be her designing an elegant flower arrangement, stitching together gorgeous quilts or creating Halloween costumes for her grandchildren, Velora always put time and effort into each design making it perfect. She was a talented seamstress with skills not seen today.
Velora also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, baking delicious deserts in her kitchen and gardening around her home.
Velora was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother that will be truly missed.
Velora is survived by her children Barbara Kasper of Grayslake and Kurt (Jocelyn) Wilhelm of Barrington, her grandchildren Lauren of Lindenhurst, Deborah (Shaun) of Waukegan, Ava of Wheeling, and Connor of Barrington, and her great-grandchildren Jaidyn, Shaun Jr., Elijah, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband Robert.
A memorial visitation and service are scheduled for Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with the service commencing at 12:00pm. Inurnment will follow at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL.
