Obituary's Biography:
Stanley Phares, 77, a resident of Wildwood, IL, passed away peacefully, at his home, early Sunday morning May 19, 2019. he was born on April 25, 1942 in the town of Fairmont, West Virginia, as the fourth of five children to Shine and Hattie Phares. He moved to Waukegan, IL in the early 1960’s and found employment with an envelope company and became a supervisor for many years. Around this time is when he met the love of his life, Elly (nee: Mogdans) Phares, and married in 1965. Shortly afterward they moved to the up and coming subdivision of Wildwood. He soon then became a father to 3 sons and a daughter and spent the last 53 years happily married and raising kids and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Stan really loved old time country music. Both he hand his wife also loved to camp. They were members of the Good Sam’s camping club for over 20 years and had many really good friends there. They were also members of the Moose. He was a loving husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and uncle to many and will be sorely missed. He is survived by his wife Elly. His sister Margie (Paul) Kaufut from Park City, IL. He is also survived by his children Kevin Phares from Round Lake, Kathy (Mark) Hutter from LaFayette, TN, Steven Phares of Grayslake, and John Phares from Wildwood. Grandchildren Jackie Phares from Round Lake, Jessica Phares from Fox Lake, Jenifer and Kimberly Stewart from Zion, and Jacob Phares from Wildwood. Also 4 great-grandchildren, Alexis, Hannah, Christa, and Charlie Rose. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Bob and Carl and sister Shelia. Also a niece Debra Ann Kaufut Yankee, passed last year. There will be a celebration of life for him in Vernon Hills in June for friends and family. More details will be posted soon.
