Sophie Malanowski

Obituary's Biography:

Sophie Malanowski, age 93, of Grayslake, passed away Wednesday, December 7, 2016 at her home.  She was born on November 15, 1923 in Poland and worked as a seamstress.  She was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church.  Sophie is survived by her children, Chester (MerryLee), Walter (Cheryl), Lester (Beatres), and Donna; her grandchildren, JoAnn, Chad, Lisa, Jason, Kenny, Adam, Lester Jr., and Christain; her great-grandchildren, Ashley, Nicole, Dolton, Chase, Samantha, Sophie,  and Morgan.  Sophie was preceded in death by husband, Kazimerz, son, Richard, granddaughter, Christine, one brother and one sister.  Friends of the family may visit from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Monday, December 12, 2016 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.  A funeral mass is scheduled for Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030, followed by interment at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville.  Memorials donations may be made in her name to the American Heart Association.  For information, please call 847-223-8122 or log on to www.strangfuneral.org.
