Obituary's Biography:

Sherry Lee Messer, 74, a resident of Round Lake Beach, IL, passed away December 24, 2019 in Libertyville, IL. She was born December 12, 1945 in Grand Rapids, MI. Sherry is survived by her husband of 50 years, Brian L. Messer Sr., whom she wed on August 16, 1969, her daughter Kimberly D. (nee: Messer) (Robert) Sobczak, her son Brian L. Messer Jr., her grandson Jack G. Visnjevac, her sisters Susan I. (nee: Doddington) Lambert, Jean A. (nee: Doddington) (Brian) Heino, her brother Bradley C. Doddington, and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews. Sherry battled Alzheimer’s for 10 years and was able to laugh and enjoy things to the very end. She will be deeply missed. She was preceded in death by her parents Orrin G. Doddington and Norma J. (nee: Denton) Doddington and her son Eric G. Messer. A private celebration of life with close family and friends will be held on January 11, 2020. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
