Obituary's Biography:
Robert L. Schroeder, 88, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away February 4, 2022 at his home. He was born March 20, 1933 in Queens, NY to George and Mildred Schroeder. Robert was a longtime member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Round Lake and a proud Union Bricklayer. He was a veteran with the US Navy having served during the Korean War. Robert is survived by his wife of 68 years, Maureen Schroeder, whom he wed on November 28, 1953 at St. Joseph Church, his children Tricia (Jim) Cioni of Wadsworth, Jennifer (Glenn) Parks of Twin Lakes, WI, and Kerry Southworth of Bloomfield, WI, his grandchildren Jeffrey (Annie) Cioni of Lake Forest, Cara (Thomas) Weber of Clarendon Hills, IL, Michael (Stacey) Southworth of Lake in the Hills, Taylor (Shawn) Breit of Fond du Lac, WI, Conner Parks of Camp Lejeune, NC, Maureen Southworth of Bloomfield, WI, and Logan Parks of Twin Lakes, WI, 3 great-grandchildren and his brother George K. Schroeder. He was preceded in death by his son Robert Joseph Schroeder and his parents.
A memorial visitation and service will be held at on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 2:30pm until 3:30pm with the memorial service commencing at 3:30 pm at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be privately held. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project www.woundedwarriorproject.com .
