Obituary's Biography:
Raymond Paul Van Ryckeghem, 48, a resident of Grayslake, IL passed away November 30, 2014 at his home. He was born April 8, 1966 in Madison Heights, MI to Raymond and Terry (nee: Beneteau) Van Ryckeghem. Raymond was a proud veteran having served with the Air Force Special Operations. He was a computer geek extraordinaire, avid rifle shooter, and loved b-movies, motorcycles, and dogs. Raymond is survived by his wife of 8 years, Karin (nee: Jackson), whom he wed on June 3, 2006 in Libertyville, his mother Terry Van Ryckeghem of Utica, MI, his sister Michelle (Mike) Montano of Waterford, MI, his brothers Rick (Kelly) Van Ryckeghem of Dryden, MI and Allan (Sarah) Van Ryckeghem of Royal Oak, MI, his nephew Richard (Brianna) Montano of Oshkosh, WI, and a great-nephew Connor Montano. He was preceded in death by his father Raymond Albert Van Ryckeghem and a sister Sharon Romelle. Friends of the family may visit on Saturday December 6, 2014 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with a funeral service commencing at 3:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E Belvidere Rd. My heart goes out to the entire Van Ryckeghem family. Having never officially met Ray, I have heard nothing but noble and admirable stories about him through his family and brother Allan. You are all in my prayers, and I am confident that he was welcomed with open arms when he arrived at his new heavenly home.
