Obituary's Biography:

Phyllis J. Gunto, 90, a resident of Ingleside, IL, passed away January 20, 2022 at her home. She was born March 18, 1931 in Moundsville, WV to Clifford and Edith Ray. Phyllis was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes St. Bede Catholic Church and the Red Hat Ladies of Fox Lake. She worked for Baxter and the College of Lake County as a librarian. She enjoyed gardening and loved animals. Phyllis is survived by her children David Gunto and Paula (Donald) Stang, her grandchildren Elizabeth (Joe Shotkus) Gunto, Sarah Stang, and Grace Stang, her sister-in-law Jo Ann Hill, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert Gunto, and her brother Ralph Ray. A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 2:00pm until 6:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, January 24, 2022 at 10:00am at Our Lady of the Lakes 36455 N. Wilson Rd. Ingleside, IL. Interment will be held privately.
