Patricia A. Silvola
Obituary's Biography:
Patricia Ann Silvola, age 88, a resident of Lindenhurst, passed away on Monday, March 21, 2022. She was born on April 29, 1933, in Waukegan to Anthony and Helen (nee Gust) Pipcius.
The youngest of five siblings, Patricia grew up in Lake County, Illinois. Patricia graduated from high school in 1951. She then worked as a nurse for more than 40 years while raising four children with her husband Robert. Throughout her life, Patricia introduced multiple generations of her family to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, where her family continues to eat pasties, fish, camp, race turtles and more.
Patricia will be remembered for being an independent and loving nurse, wife, mother, and grandmother who cared for her family deeply. She also will be remembered for her baffling expressions and hilarious retorts. Patricia enjoyed spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Her family will miss receiving her thoughtful cards on every holiday and frequent calls to catch up on school, work, their lives, and current events while planning a future lunch date.
Patricia is survived by her children, Jo Hille of Sturtevant, WI and Michael (Michele) of Lindenhurst, IL; her grandchildren, Ryan Silvola of Madison, WI, Alex Silvola of Milwaukee, WI, Emily Silvola of Lindenhurst, IL, and Lauren Silvola of Seneca, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Emil Silvola, Sr.; her daughter, Katherine Lee Silvola; her son, Robert Emil Silvola, Jr.; her parents; her sisters, Valeria (Joe) Rimkus, Eleanor (Don) Erbes, Josephine (Joseph) Krotzer, and Frances (John) Miller.
A visitation and funeral service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Thursday, March 24, 2022, from 10:00am until 11:00am, with a funeral service commencing at 11:00am. Mike and jo, so sorry to hear of your mom’s passing. Emily and Lauren your grandmothers passing. She was always a delight when she came to visit next door. Easy to talk to and usually had a smile, unless she was angry with something that Robert did. Thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
Thanks Charlie
When the weather warms up, I will get on the bike and stop by. Its always fun visiting with you!
