Loren Fandrei, 73, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Friday August 14, 2015 at his home. He was born October 11, 1941 in Sturgeon Bay, WI to George and Emma Fandrei. Loren was a graduate of University of Wisconsin Madison in landscape architecture. He owned and operated Creative Landscapes in Grayslake. Peter R. “Rabbit” Pocius Sr., 93, a resident of Gurnee, IL and Bethlehem, GA, passed away August 13, 2015. He was born in rural Grayslake, on July 16, 1922 to Peter and Michalina Pocius. His early life was spent working on the family dairy farm. Later he operated his own mink ranch, then retiring from Dan Lodesky Trucking after more than 30 years. After retirement he became an avid gardener growing vegetables and flowers and sharing his passion with the community. He spent his last years relaxing with his dog by his side and his cat on his lap. Peter is survived by his children Wendy (Butch) Nerroth and Peter “Bob” (Marilyn) Pocius Jr., his grandchildren Kerrilee Hank, Carly (David) Kraft, and Michael (April) Pocius, his great-grandchildren Isla, Harper, and Grant, his sister Bernice Pocius, 3 nieces, 1 nephew, and two special friends Leo Hook and Dan Lodesky. Kenneth W. Worthey, 65, of Grayslake passed away on Monday, August 3, 2015 with his family by his side. Ken was born on January 20, 1950 in Newton, Illinois, to Frank and Rosemary Worthey (nee Erwin). Ken was a proud Vietnam War veteran, having served two combat tours, the second of which was with the 11th Armored Calvary Regiment (Blackhorse). He knew a little about a lot, from woodworking and mechanics to investing and homeopathic remedies. He is survived by: his wife of 40 years, Donna, who he married in Bellwood, Illinois, on September 6, 1975. Ken is also survived by his son Jonathan of Grayslake and his siblings Linda Keller of Newton, Illinois, Ronald of Wausau, Wisconsin, and Mary (Bob) Lafferty of Genoa City, Wisconsin. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers in law, Joe and Daniel.
