Gail Joyce Doucet

Gail Joyce Doucet, age 64, passed away on April 21st, 2016 at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Illinois. She was born in Evanston, Illinois on August 28, 1951. She was a long-time resident of Wauconda, Illinois. As a young woman Gail enjoyed traveling across the world. She worked as a television meteorologist for several stations across the U.S. before returning to college. She earned a total of three Master’s Degrees. Gail was employed at Round Lake Middle School where she worked as a Special Education teacher. She was an educator for 16 years. Gail is survived by her daughter, Alissa Doucet of Chicago; her son, Brian Doucet of Wauconda; and her brothers Paul and Barry Broadhead. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Mary-Jane and Ray Broadhead.  A visitation and memorial service will be held this Saturday, April 30, 2016 at at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, Illinois 60030. The visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. and the memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Round Lake Area School Education Foundation. David F. Wright

David F. Wright, 72, a resident of Spring Grove, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2016 at the Warren Barr Rehab Center in Lincolnshire, IL. He was born May 3, 1943 in St. Louis, MO to Lester and Dorothy (nee: Mathis) Wright.  David was a veteran of the Air Force, very patriotic, and his favorite holiday was Veteran’s Day.  He enjoyed bird feeders, gourmet cooking, model airplanes, photography, and electronics.  He was a big Chicago Bears and Cubs fan.  David is survived by his children Debra (Tom) Goodman of Newport News, VA, Cathleen Wright of Palmdale, CA, and Rebecca (Shane) Kulick of Vernon Hills, IL, his grandchildren David Goodman of Norfolk, VA, Andrew (Helene) Goodman of Cherry Hill, NJ, Joshua Goodman of Newport News, VA, Cynthia (Sean) Stewart of Newport News, VA, Dugan Goodman of Newport News, VA, Timothy Goodman of Newport News, VA, Mercedes (Travis) Baldridge of Barksdale Air Force Base, LA, Abigail Karper of Mullica Hill, NJ, Holden Kulick of Vernon Hills, IL, and Izabel Kulick of Vernon Hills, IL, his siblings Gene (Ingrid) Wright of Libertyville, IL and Leslie (Hank) Vanderlely of Ft. Arcadio Hidrogo

Arcadio Hidrogo, age 93, passed away Monday, April 25, 2016 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born February 6, 1923 in Jaralillo, Zacatecas, Mexico.  Arcadio is survived by his children, Jose Hidrogo, Eustolia Hidrogo, Rosario Hidrogo, Guadalupe Hidrogo, Leticia Hidrogo, Idolina Hidrogo, Arcadio Hidrogo, Norma Hidrogo and Jaime Hidrogo.  He was also fortunate to have impacted the life of 36 grandchildren and 65 great-grandchildren.  Arcadio was preceded in death by his wife Maria Ana Chairez and his son Elloy Hidrogo.  Friends of the family may visit on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, Il 60030.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel with interment following at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake.   For more information please call (847)223-8122 or log onto www.strangfuneral.org.

Beverly M. Richards

Beverly M. Richards, 85, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 23, 2016. She was born February 19, 1931 in Shell Lake, WI to Orie and Ellen Richards. Beverly taught baton at Galena High School where she won down state 3 years receiving 2 first places and one second place. Beverly is survived by her children Dennis Michele (Denise) Moscatelli, Felicia Beverly Moscatelli, and Edward Dominic (Bobbie) Moscatelli, her grandchildren Dane Edward, Dylan Ernest, David Edward, and Brittany Marie, and her siblings Dorothy Salwolke and Bill Richards. Arlene Baumann, 84, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at her home. She was born July 10, 1931 in Lombard, IL. Stephen Bindi, 61, of Grayslake, IL passed away March 20, 2016 at his home. He was the beloved son of Evo and Ruth Bindi. Tiiu Hedlund

Tiiu Hedlund(nee Rasina) formerly of Wheeling, passed away April 14, 2016 at Journey Care Hospice in Glenview, Il. Tiiu was born March 5, 1936 in Estonia. She was preceded in death by her parents Artur and Helmi Rasina. She is survived by her husband of 55 years Otis “Skip” Hedlund. Loving mother of Mark(Kerry)Hedlund, Timothy (Oulay)Hedlund and Michelle(Ron)Schumacher. Grandmother of Jennifer Brunson, Steven and Scott Hedlund, Jessica, Amanda and Michael Schumacher and Daniel Hedlund. Great grandmother of Olivia And Jala Brunson. She is also survived by her sister Maret(Leo)Hebert and brother Inno Rasina. Tiiu and family immigrated to America in 1948 and became proud citizens March 20, 1956. Tiiu graduated from Crystal Lake High School in 1954. She graduated from beauty school and owned and operated Tiiu’s Beauty Salon for several years in Wheeling, Il. Tiiu and family lived in Wheeling for 51 years and then moved to Grayslake, IL in 2012. Tiiu and family have been members of the Lutheran Church Of The Good Shepherd, Prospect Heights, Il since 1962. Karl J. Bartelt

Karl was born on September 2, 1950 and passed away peacefully on April 9, 2016. Karl resided in Round Lake Beach with his wife of 37 years, Fabian (Faie).  Karl served his country from 1967 through 1970 in the United States Army, European Division.  Karl worked in the Telecommunications Industry for several companies such as, Illinois Bell, Telligent, TCG and AT&T.  Karl’s sense of humor brought smiles to almost everyone he met. He enjoyed cooking, playing golf, fishing, being with his grandchildren and watching baseball (avid Cub Fan).  Karl is survived by his wife, Faie, Son Jeremie (Andrea), Grandchildren Jayden, Grayson, and Adelynn, Aunt’s Mildred Henritzy and Gerda Bartelt, and many cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents Blanche Hardeis and Helmuth Bartelt.  A memorial service is scheduled for Friday, April 22 from 5:00 – 7:00pm, followed by a Celebration of Life at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Satish V. Ayar, 52, a resident of Buffalo Grove passed away Tuesday, April 12, 2016 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Peter Gerharz

Pete was born on October 11, 1953 and passed away on April 5, 2016. Peter was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois. He resided in Round Lake Beach, Illinois with his wife of 42 years, Mary Lue, where they raised their two favorite daughters. In later years Pete always considered himself lucky the girls chose two men he considered “his” sons and gave him four wonderful grandchildren who were the light of his life! Pete was a hard working man and gave 43 dedicated years of service at the Chicago Board of Trade where he was known and respected by many. Pete was a die-hard Cubs fan—“there’s always next year.” And nothing got in the way of Flea Market Sundays—buying, selling, looking for deals, “Buck a piece.” Christmas breakfast was Pete’s pride and joy where he lovingly prepared breakfast to order, for all who came, every year without fail. But most of all he enjoyed the many family trips, including the rePete trips to Disney and Wisconsin Dells, where a lifetime of memories were made. Pete is survived by his wife, Mary Lue Gerharz; children, Jennie (Shawn) Bubloni and Heidi (Eric) Spaw; grandchildren, Joseph T. Bubloni, Rebecca A. Bubloni, Emma E. Spaw and Eric “E3” Spaw; his siblings, Georgene (Ron) Mink, Rick and Esther Gerharz, Donna (James) Russo, Mike Gerharz, Tina (Rocky) Nelson, Mark Gerharz, April (Dave) Westergren, Missy (Brian) Hill, Junior Thompson and Betty Fay Tholl; and many nieces and nephews including his Godchildren, Steve Mink, Richie Goslawski and Jaclyn Jankowski. Sharon L. James

Sharon L. James, 78, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016 with her daughters by her side. She was born October 1, 1937 in London, KY to Lemoine Ball & Margaret (nee: Parker).  Sharon was a loving mother, grandma, and great-grandma, an avid bowler, enjoyed crocheting, pottery, and beading.  She had worked for Baxter for over 25 years and loved her dog Molly.  Sharon is survived by her mother Margaret Fischer, her daughters Valerie (Fred) Wicinski, Claudette (Stanley) Gorsuch, Jackie (Frank Sr.) Kersey, and Pattianne (John) Holub, her grandchildren Justin (Brandel), Kaity (Eric), Courtney (Jourdan), Rebecca (Felipe), Megan (Scott), Emily, and James, her great-grandchildren Aiden, Isabel, Emma, Ricardo, and Madelyn, her sister Laura Branstetter, and all the special caregivers and friends that were a part of her life.  She was preceded in death by her husband James T. “Jack” James, her father, and her step-father Robert Fischer.  A visitation is scheduled for Thursday, April 7, 2016 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Fred B. Lindsey

Fred Borron Lindsey passed away peacefully with family at his side on March 30, 2016. Born in Alabama on July 6, 1924, Fred was a very independent man with a will of steel. He was never short of ideas to prolong his independence and demonstrated this characteristic until the very end. Fred was a World War II veteran and a purple heart recipient and was thrilled to take the Honor Flight to Washington D.C. to visit the World War II Memorial. Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Marie (Doucette) Lindsey, grandson Keith Cox, 3 brothers Alfred, Ellis, and Hugh, and a sister June (Lindsey) Reeves. He is survived by his 5 children Linda (Lindsey) Self of Gurnee, IL, Fred Lindsey of Clearwater, FL, Pam (Ken) Cox of Bascobel, WI, Dave (Nancy) Lindsey of Libertyville, IL and Bob Lindsey of Seattle, WA, his 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved him dearly … Everybody loved Fred. Russell Clarence Schnor

Russell Clarence Schnor, age 86, of Grayslake, passed away Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born December 18, 1929 in Waterloo, Iowa, to John and Lillian (nee Zell) Schnor. Russell was a retired Army Sargeant. He loved Western movies and war movies. He enjoyed camping and family outings to the casino. He was also an avid beer drinker. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Rose Schnor; his children, Roslyn (Alan) Beitzel of Gurnee and Rhonda (Michael) Wojciechowski of Libertyville; his grandchildren, Amanda (Craig) Harmer of Lakemoor, Jason (Stephanie) Wojciechowski of Wildwood, and Jessica (Paul) Dworianyn of Round Lake Park; and his great-grandchildren, Kellyn Harmer and Evan Harmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Al and Bobby Schnor. Barbara O. Dreyer

Babara Opalessence Dreyer, 80, a resident of Libertyville, IL passed away March 26, 2016 at Manor Care Nursing Home in Libertyville, IL. She was born March 28, 1935 to Thelma Davidson and Albert J. Jean A. McSorley, 83, a resident of Pine Mountain, GA and formerly of Grayslake and Wildwood, IL, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016.  She was born May 19, 1932 in Chicago, IL. She is survived by Thomas (Rita) McSorley, Cynthia (Terry) Richter,  Patricia (John) Grubbs; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas McSorley. Matthew Lee Anderson, age 59, of Salem, Wisconsin, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016 at his home.
