Carole Kathryn Koykkari

Carole Kathryn Koykarri, 81, a resident of Fox Lake, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018, at her home. She was born in June of 1936 in Aurora to Earl and Ceclia Leighty.
Carole is survived by her children Ryan (Margaret) Pendergast of Antioch and Michael Pendergast of Tacoma, WA; her grandchildren Dan Pendergast of Trevor, WI, Kevin Pendergast of Lindenhurst, Kelly (Michael) Jandl of Racine, WI, Danielle Pendergast of Syracuse, NY and Michelle Pendergast of Annadale-on-Hudson, NY. She was preceded in death by her husband, Neil Koykkari; sister, Lois Bay; and her parents.

Julie Davidson

Julie Davidson, 84, a resident of Lakemoor, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2018 at Victory Lakes Nursing Center in Lindenhurst, IL.  She was born July 21, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Albert and Nada Cole.  Julie loved her family and being a mother to all.  Julie is survived by her children Richard (Norma) Carlson, Lin (Jack) Hodgins, Daniel (Laura) Borke, Mary Jo (James) Boeing, Lisa (William) Senkiw, Casey (Katie) Davidson, Joey Davidson, and Stacey (Robbie) Gooch, her numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and her nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Joseph, her daughters Debra Nicholas and Patricia Nicholas, her grandsons Meril (Angie) Mitchell Jr. and Travis Borke, her granddaughter Danielle Borke, and her sister Georgiana (Raymond) Pettitt.  A memorial visitation and service is scheduled for Saturday, January 27, 2018 from 10am until 11am with the service commencing at 11am at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Robert F. Kuziel

Robert F. Kuziel, age 83, died peacefully while in hospice care at Resurrection Hospital on January on January 9, 2018.  He was the son of the late John and Mary Kuziel.  He was the devoted husband of the late Stella F. (nee Lyzyk) and stepfather to Paul, Michael and Gary Lyczyk.  He is survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.  A funeral Mass will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2018 at 10:30 AM at Saint Symphorosa  Catholic Church, 6145 S. Falynn Hironimus

Falynn Hironimus, 29, a resident of McHenry, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2018 in Hebron, IL.  She was born June 18, 1988 in Waukegan, IL.  Falynn is a mother to Madison and Katelynn, fiancé to Juan Castillo, daughter of Craig Hironimus and Stephanie Doll, sister of Gage Hironimus, granddaughter of Lonnie and Sue Hironimus and Harold Doll.  She is also survived by her many aunts, uncles, and cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandmother Nancy Lee.  A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with the service commencing at 12:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Linda J. O’Neill

Linda J. O’Neill, 69, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2018 surrounded by her family at her home in Round Lake Beach, IL.  She was born May 28, 1948 in Kenosha, WI to Robert and Jean Burke.  Linda worked for American Fluorescent Corporation for 23 years.  She enjoyed swimming, bingo, and was a great baker and cook.  Linda loved spending time with her family, the outdoors, and fishing, especially in Northern Wisconsin.  Linda is survived by her children Lori O’Neill and Michael P. Nancy A. Bracher

Nancy Ann Bracher, 73, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born February 16, 1944 in Waukegan to Arthur and Era Murphy.  Nancy was loved by her husband for over 57 years and was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  She was very much loved and will be missed dearly.  Nancy is survived by her husband of 57 years, Richard Sr., whom she wed on March 18, 1961 in Chicago, her sons Richard Jr. (Debbie) of Round Lake Beach, IL, Gary (Sandra) of Gurnee, IL, Brian of Fox Lake, IL, and Randy (Kim) of Appleton, WI, her grandchildren Richie III (Sherry) of Jainesville, WI, Meagan (Brandon) of Pinckney, MI, Tracie (Pete) of Antioch, IL, Gary Jr. of Racine, WI, Jessica of Racine, WI, Danny of Gurnee, IL, Emma of Round Lake Beach, IL, Nicole of Menasha, WI, Micheal of Gurnee, IL, Randy Jr. of Appleton, WI, Katelin of Madison, WI, Randall of Kaukauna, WI, and Kevin of Appleton, WI, and her 18 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers Arthur and Gary Murphy.  A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17, 2018 from 3:00pm until 6:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Barry T. Adler

Barry Tore Adler, 71, a resident of Lindenhurst, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL. He was born October 10, 1946 in Chicago to Stanley and Eleanore (Larson) Adler. He was a member of Crossway Community Church in Bristol, WI.
Barry is survived by his wife, Vicky, of 45 years. They were married on December 1, 1972 in Wheaton, IL. He is further survived by his daughter, Tara (Robert) Henevich of Fort Riley, KS; his sister, Laurie (Ken Minkowski) Adler of McHenry, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Robin Lynn Niemi

Robin Lynn Niemi, age 63, of Wauconda, passed away Monday, December 25, 2017 in Colorado Springs, CO. She was born November 16, 1954 in Limestone, ME. Robin graduated from Warren Township High School in 1972. She moved to California shortly after graduation to pursue her dream of being a singer. Although her group did cut one album and was the opening act for the Turtles, she went the conventional route and started a family. Robin loved staying in touch with her friends and family on facebook. She was a champion at puzzley words, spades and every kind of game ever invented. But, her greatest joy was her family. She loved spending time with her husband, children, grandchildren and her beloved pooch, Odie. She was much loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Len, whom she married in Long Grove on March 15, 1998; her children, Jessica Randall of Elgin, William Randall of Wauconda and Jessy (Matt) Tarquino of Colorado Springs, CO; her grandchildren, Sydney, Emma and Leona; and her siblings, Bruce Stone of Baltimore, MD, Mark Peters of California and Brett Peters of Waukegan. Robin was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Skip, and a niece, Tammy Stone. Anna D. Zarlenga

Anna D. Zarlenga, 86, a former resident of Fox Lake and most recently of Elk Grove Village, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018 at Avanti Wellness in Niles, IL.  She was born February 17, 1931 in Puerto Rico to Felipe and Juana Negron.  Anna was a very loving and giving person.  She was a member of the American Medical Association for over 25 years.  Anna was an avid gardener and will be remembered for caring for her pets and dedication and hard work in all she did.  She moved to Chicago from Puerto Rico in 1948 and married her husband John A. Zarlenga on July 8, 1961 in Springfield, IL.  Anna is survived by her daughters Connie M. (Milorad) Antich and Elizabeth M. Kilani, her grandchildren Heather A. Kilani and Michael R. Teresa Aubain

Teresa B. Aubain, 82, a resident of Round Lake, passed away Monday, January 8, 2018, at her home. She was born in Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas, Virgin Islands on December 5, 1935.
Teresa is survived by her children Deborah (Kaj) Gotterup of Crosby, TX, Michael (Christine) Aubain of Houston, TX and Renee (Garland) Pugh of Round Lake, IL; her grandchildren Rohan (Jalissa) McKenzie of Wisconsin, Rashaun McKenzie of Round Lake, IL; Chanel Pugh of Iowa City, IA and Hannah Aubain of Houston, TX, and her great-grandchildren Ka’Maria McKenzie, Nevaeh McKenzie, Kya McKenzie, and Elijah McKenzie.

Daniel F. Griffin III

Daniel F. Griffin III, 69, a resident of Volo, passed away Monday, January 08, 2018 at Journeycare Hospice in Barrington, IL.  He was born February 16, 1948 in Denver, CO to Daniel Jr. and June Griffin.  Daniel was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served for the US Army.  He loved the Beatles, working on computers, and movies.  Daniel is survived by his children, Justin (Tina) Griffin, Natalie (Tony) Adams, and Melissa (Colin) Gaffney, his grandchildren Ann, Connor, Logan, and Teagan, and his sisters Patricia Griffin and Katherine (Mark) Dennis.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Delcie Griffin. A memorial service will start promptly at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2018 at The Chapel, 330 S. Old Rand Rd. John J. Zanzucchi

John Zanzucchi, 93, a resident of Lake Villa, Illinois surrounded by his family and loved ones passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Illinois.
He was born in Wehrum, Pennsylvania in 1924 to Mary and Bonfiligio Zanzucchi. He later moved to Green Bay, Wisconsin where he became a die-hard Packer Fan, before settling into Wilmette, Illinois eventually marrying our Larger than Life Mother, Lena – and started his family. He had 8 children. Some say our Mother was the finest decision he ever made.
He was a WWII veteran who was stationed in Germany for his service and he was a dead serious man. He always said what he meant and meant what he said. A FEROCIOUS Democrat, he never wavered in his support of the left, no matter his company.
After the war, he was a glass installer for a considerable time before he became a United States Postal Service Mail Carrier for the last 18 of his working years.
He was a DIE HARD CUBS FAN. You can imagine, at his age, what a big deal the Cubs World Series Championship was to him.
He is survived by 7 of his 8 children: Carole(Mike) Braus, Mary (Warren) Schneider, Ross (Juli) Zanzucchi, Laura (Robert) Allen, Nancy Zanzucchi, Vince (Kathy) Zanzucchi, and Jeff (Desiree) Zanzucchi; he also has an abundance of grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Wife, Lena of 61 years and his Daughter, Valerie Susan Pouncy.

Lida A. Folinazzo

Lida A. Folinazzo, 88, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 03, 2018, at her home.  She was born June 4, 1929 in Chicago, IL to Angelo and Prima Zanardo.  Lida is survived by her children Anthony (Paula) Folinazzo and Joyce Folinazzo, her grandchildren Meghan, Nichola, Kristina, Anthony, Salvatore, and Gina, her great-grandchild Iliza, her sister Eileen Grimm and her son-in-law Sam Suera.  She was preceded in death by her husband Anthony, her daughter Janice Suera, and her sister Dorothy Mernin.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Wilma L. Adams

Wilma L. Adams, 89, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at her home.  She was born in Westville, IL on her mother’s birthday, April 24, 1928 to William and Josephine (nee: Bertelli) Pellizzari.  Wilma graduated from the University of Illinois in 1949, while attending she met her husband of 65 years, James Adams of Wadsworth.  She was a life member of the U of I Alumni Association and a current member of the American Association of University Women and the League of Women’s Voters.  Wilma was a former Brownie and Girl Scout Leader.  She worked as a substitute teacher and as a chemical technician.  Wilma enjoyed playing golf and at times was a member of the Brae Loch, Countryside, and Foss Park women’s associations.  She was a first year member of the Lake County Ladies Golf Association serving on the board for many years as treasurer.  She loved reading books, both in print and on her e-reader.  When she and her husband were able, they went dancing as often as possible and made friends with many people with the same love.  Wilma was proud of her Alma Mater and told people that combining hers with Jim’s families could boast of 16 Illinois graduates.  Wilma is survived by her children Mark, Barbara, and David Adams, and Carol Liberto, her grandchildren Christina (Brandson) Hunter, Ian (Kasey) Liberto, Kaitlin, Lauren, and Andrew Adams, and her great-grandchildren Emerson, Quinlyn, and Beckett Hunter.  She was preceded in death by her husband Jim in 2015, her two sons-in-law Ray Lindal, and Tony Liberto, and her sister Marie (John) Freeman.  A visitation is scheduled for Sunday, January 7, 2018 from 11:00am until 1:00pm with a funeral service commencing at 1:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Louis Sobolewski

Louis Sobolewski, age 95 , a resident of Round Lake, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Addolorata Villia in Wheeling. He was born in Donora, PA on July 6,1922. Louis was a WWII US Army veteran and member of the Knight of Columbus. He was a graduate of Marquette University and worked as a civil engineer.
He is survived by his children, James, Thomas (Stephanie), Katherine (Roger), John (Laura), Jerome (Heather); 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and his beloved nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Dorothy, in 2015, and daughters Margaret and Mary. He is also predeceased by his parents Casimir and Margaret, brothers Eugene and Thaddeus, and sister, Emily.

Cathy J. Cartwright

Cathy J. Cartwright, age 46, of Round Lake Beach passed away on December 30, 2017 in Libertyville. She was born on January 5, 1971 in Nashville, TN.
Cathy is survived by her husband, Barry, of 28 years. They were married on April 28, 1989 in Bell Buckle, TN. She is further survived by her father, Erbie Measles; her sons, Brandon and Nicholas Cartwright; and brothers, Tony and Aaron Measles.

Frank S. Stanczyk, Sr.

Frank Stanley Stanczyk, Sr, age 92, of Lake Villa passed away on December 29, 2017. He was born on August 24, 1925 to Stanley and Katherine in Chicago.
Frank served in the United States Army Air Force from October 1943 until 1946. He served with the 308th Bombardment Wing in the South Pacific. He retired from Outboard Marine in Waukegan in 1985 after 32 years.
Frank is survived by his wife, Winifred (nee Herman), of 71 years. He is further survived by his children, Jean (Dale) Zierz, Frank Jr. (Janiene) and Tim (Suzanne); grandchildren, Gina (Rob) Stubbs, Dan (Paula) Fredricks, Vennessa (Ray) Moeller, Jeremiah Millard, Toni (Tom) Paul, Amy (Brian Schultz) Tauscher, Tracy Payne, Steve (Kayla Dusing) Stanczyk; 21 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; Sister-in-law Mickey Clingerman and family; brother-in-law Russ (Leanne) Herman and family; and many nieces and nephews.

Wilhelmina Oliva, age 77, passed away on Thursday, December 28, 2017 in Hainesville. She was born on July 3, 1940 in Pampanga, Philippines. She worked as accountant.
She is survived by her husband, Antonio Oliva, whom she married on March 25, 1973. She is further survived by her children, Michael (Mona), Michard and Joy (Bart) Mackessy; granddaughter, Myka Oliva; and sister, Nim Villarica. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mayorico and Marcela Sumang; brothers, Rico Sumang, Esmer Sumang; and sister, Pong Hipolito.

Gilbert J. Glader

Gilbert J. Glader, age 90 of McHenry, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017 in McHenry.  He was born January 16, 1927 in Highland Park.  Gil was a union electrician IBEW in local 150 for 38 years. He loved to garden and fish.  He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan.
