Robert “Bob” D. Frazier

Robert “Bob” D. Frazier, 90, a resident of Punta Gorda, FL, passed away April 23, 2024 at his home.  He was born January 23, 1934 in Milan, TN to Paul and Inas Frazier.

Bob was a veteran having served with the US Air Force.  He enjoyed dancing to country music, bass fishing, playing pool, and was a gun enthusiast.  Bob and Arlene loved performing in variety and musical shows at their community clubhouse and going on cruises with their Ventura Lakes friends.

Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Arlene Frazier, his children Edward Gurgul, Robin Quinn, Susan (Scott) Vanscyoc, and Patti (Gary) Colangelo, his grandchildren Jamie (Brett) Schneider, Matthew Gurgul, Kenny Quinn, Robb Quinn, Tiffany (Josh) Coopman, Tara (Danny) Scott, Anthony (Lindsay) Colangelo, and Bianca Colangelo, his 5 great-grandchildren, his sister Peggy Sanders, and his nephews Art Sanders and Kenneth Sanders.  He was preceded in death by his parents.

Victoria C. Samano

Victoria C. Samano, 29, a resident of Mundelein, IL, passed away suddenly April 21, 2024 at her home.  She was born November 19, 1994 in Libertyville, IL to Silvia Gallegos and Guadalupe Samano.

Vicki was a graduate of Mundelein High School, and afterwards continued her education at the College of Lake County. While there, she obtained an Associate’s Degree in Science, and was certified in MRI Technology and Radiology.  She was employed at the James A. Lovell Veterans Hospital in North Chicago, where she made many friends and was recognized by her co-workers as kind, funny, and a joy to work with.  Vicki loved to travel, visiting Japan, Hawaii, California, Colorado and New York City.  She made friends easily, enjoying concerts, music and parties, and as an Instagram and TikTok artist, she often posted videos of herself and her friends having fun.  A dog lover, Vicki was mom to two huskies, Simba and Amira.  She also was mom to her Mini Cooper “Darla”, her pride and joy.  Vicki was taken from us too soon, and has left everyone who knew her with a broken heart.

Victoria is survived by her mother Silvia Gallegos, her father Guadalupe (Sandy) Samano, her grandmother Consuelo Gallegos, her aunts and uncles Sonia (Mario) Solis, Lupe (Sandy) Gallegos, Mari Gallegos, Esteban (Sue) Gallegos, Vicky Gallegos, and Elia (Guillermo) Romero, and many cousins.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents Guadalupe Gallegos, Antonio Samano, and Carmen Naba.

A visitation is scheduled for Monday, April 29, 2024 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.  The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at 11:00am at the funeral chapel.  Interment will follow at Avon Cemetery in Grayslake, IL.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.

Ann Callaway

Ann Callaway, 82, a resident of Gurnee, IL, passed away March 29, 2024 at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL.  She was born October 14,1941 to Robert and Elizabeth Callaway

Ann is survived by her sons, Mark (Beth) Polelle, David, and Daniel, her grandchildren Tim (Grace) Polelle, Paul Polelle, Emily Polelle, Ellen Polelle, and Claire Polelle, and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Elizabeth Polelle

Melissa A. Grost

Melissa A. Grost, 40, a resident of Round Lake Beach, IL, passed away April 21, 2024 at her home.  She was born October 24, 1983 in Lake Forest, IL to Clifford Grost and Diane Abbinanti. 

Melissa is survived by her parents, Diane Abbinanti (Ernest Mategrano), Clifford (Peggy) Grost; her sister, Heather (Jeff) Hummert; and her grandparents, Jean Grost, Angela Ciccia, and Barbara Hargadon.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, John and Dorothy Wheelock, Leo Grost, Antoinette Abbinanti, Donald Hargadon, and Ernest Mategrano Sr.

Rosemarie G. Prisel

Rosemarie G. Prisel, 86, a resident of Lake Villa, IL, passed away April 20, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.  She was born May 4, 1937 in Cleveland, OH to George and Rosemarie Lucas .

Rose enjoyed travelling and was an artist having enjoyed painting for many years.

Rose is survived by her life partner, Kevin Sheehan, her sons John (Deborrah) Prisel and Joseph (Casey) Prisel, her grandchildren Gabriel Prisel, Ellie Prisel, Michael Prisel, and Rylan Prisel, and her sister Lois Cameron.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John L. Prisel, and her children James Prisel and Sharon Gallop.

Paula S. Clauser

Paula Schmidt Clauser, 75, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away April 19, 2024 at her home.  She was born June 1, 1948 in Chicago, IL to William and June Schmidt. 

Paula found solace in the simple joys of life, relishing her passion for reading, crocheting, and long walks/runs on the trail.

Paula is survived by her husband of 55 years, Greg Clauser, her daughters Michelle Clauser, Stephanie Abrams, and Rebekah (Michael) Pozen, her grandchildren Grace Abrams, Reese Pozen, and Mason Pozen, and her brother Paul Schmidt. She also left behind her cherished grand dogs, Roxie and Willow, who brought her great joy. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Bill Schmidt.

Laurel J. Bruggen

 Laurel Jean Bruggen (nee Dodge) passed away on April 3rd, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben B. Bruggen Jr. and her brother, Frank Dodge. She is survived by her two sons, Paul Bruggen (Lisa) of Lake Villa, IL, and Karl Bruggen (Elizabeth) of West Chester, OH. She is also survived by four grandchildren- Jessica, David. Eric and Joel and many nieces and nephews.

Laurel was born in 1935 and raised on a farm in Genoa, IL and graduated from Marengo High School. She then graduated from Rockford Nursing College and became a nurse. Laurel and Ben were married in 1956 and moved to Grayslake in 1960. She was a long-time member of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake where she taught Sunday school and Confirmation and faithfully served on many committees and organizations. Laurel volunteered for many different community organizations such as PADS Lake County, Feed My Starving Children and Meals on Wheels.

Laurel was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, and she will be missed by all who knew her.

Joy DeGraff

Joy (Francis) DeGraff, 89, of Saddlebrook in Grayslake IL, passed away April 13, 2024. She was born February 10, 1935, in Waukegan to Carlyle and Dagmar Francis. In 1957 Joy married her husband of 60 years Forrest DeGraff where they then settled in Grayslake, IL.

Joy, worked at Baxter healthcare for 25 years. She was a member of the Grayslake Historical Society, the Baxter Alumni Club, and helped with Saddlebrook activities.  She enjoyed playing bridge, canasta, pinochle, going to casinos, gardening, collecting antiques, and traveling with her friends

Joy is survived by her Children she very much loved Elizabeth (John) Mullen, Douglas, and Ann (Richard) Coles; her Grandchildren Jessica (Kelly) Mullen, Kerri (Mark) Thompson, Micharl (Liz) Mullen, Kelly (Andrew) Nicholson , Scott (Courtney) Coles, Zach (Kayti) Coles, and Alex Coles; her Great-Grand Children, Genevieve Thompson, Geraldine Thompson, Georgina Thompson, Tatum Coles, Beckham Coles, and Felicity Mullen.

Joy was preceded in death by her husband Forrest DeGraff, her parents Dagmar and Carlyle Francis, and her brother James Franci.

A Memorial will be on May 4, 2024 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Strang Funeral Chapel 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grayslake Historical Society in memory of Joy.

Joan A. Johnston

Joan A. Johnston, 90, a lifetime resident of McHenry, IL, passed away April 11, 2024, at Northwestern Medical Center in McHenry, IL. She was born October 31, 1933, in Milton, WI to George and Hazel Schmaling.

Joan, also lovingly known as Josie, is and will always be one-of-a-kind. She was a wonderful mother and best friend who radiated kindness, excellent advice, class, a profound sense of style and fashion and demonstrated generosity to all she knew and loved. Josie absolutely adored her grandchildren and great grandchildren, who brought her endless joy and happiness.

Josie had many notable talents to include being a beautiful singer and entertainer, an avid golfer, an amazing cook, spending endless hours crocheting her cherished blankets for family, being a great Baseball Mom and Grandmother, being an awesome Band Mom, collecting rare China and figurines, traveling abroad, winning those Penny slot machines and Bingo with a special wiggle of the nose and incredible luck! And last but never least, telling the best dirty jokes without fail. She had impeccable timing.

Joan is survived by her Children Scott (Donna) Thompson and Ann Rowley (Moore); Grandchildren Eric (Anisha) Thompson, Evan (Breezy) Scully, Cora Dollenmaier, and Connor Rowley; Great-Grandchildren Nora Thompson, Weston Thompson, Kilani Cirelli, Cooper Mays, and Asher Mays; Nieces Gloria Schmaling (husband Terry McMahon) and Cathi Glos (Schmaling); Nephews Michael (Lorie) Schmaling and Mark (Barb) Schmaling.  Joan was preceded in death by her parents, her husband William (Bill) Johnston, her son Thomas (Tommy) Thompson, and her brothers Norman Schmaling, John Schmaling, and Robert Schmaling.

Josie, you are a true queen-of-hearts who will be honored and eternally loved. Thank you for all you have done for us. You are unforgettable. We will carry your memory in our hearts every day.

Sonja “LaVaughn” Barnes

Sonja “LaVaughn” Barnes, age 86, a resident of Round Lake, IL and Pewaukee, WI, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 14, 2024 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI.  She was born on January 18, 1938 in Dyersburg, Tennessee to Paul and Myrtle Runions.  LaVaughn loved going out for ice cream, listening to country music and going to Old Country Buffet. She enjoyed her job and retired from Athletic Sewing. Most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

LaVaughn is survived by her grandchildren, Melissa (Josh) Quartana and Cameron Barnes; her daughter-in-law, Donna Barnes; great grandchildren, Giana and Gio Quartana; and sister-in-law, Diane Runions.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Dave; her beloved son, David; and her siblings, Paul Runions and Margie Runions.

Philip S. Howe

Philip Sherwood Howe, age 76, a distinguished resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024. Born on October 22, 1947, in Johnstown, PA, to Sidney and Elizabeth (nee Barrett) Howe, Philip led a life marked by service.

After growing up in Ossining, NY, Philip graduated from Fairfield University in Fairfield, CT in 1969 with a Bachelor’s Degree in History and was commissioned in the U.S. Air Force the same day. He later attended Georgetown University Law Center, graduating in 1972. Philip served actively in the Air Force for four years, starting in 1973, and continued in the Air Force Reserves until retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1998 after 28 years of service.

Philip’s commitment to public service extended into his professional career. He worked in private practice before joining the Illinois Government in 1978. Over his career, he served as Senate Legislative Liaison for Governor James R. Thompson, General Counsel to Secretary of State James Edgar, and eventually as the Director and General Counsel for the Illinois Development Finance Authority. He concluded his Illinois public service as the Chief Administrative Judge at the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation and as Chairman of the Board of Tax Appeals at the Illinois Department of Revenue.

After retiring from the State of Illinois in 2003, Philip worked as an Administrative Law Judge for the Department of Defense, conducting hearings across the country until his final retirement in 2017.

Philip was also committed to his local community, serving over the years on the Grayslake School Board, Grayslake Public Library Board of Trustees and the Library Foundation, and with the Lake County Republican Central Committee. Philip’s hobbies included a passion for model railroading, and he served as President of the Lionel Operating Train Society, an international model railroad club.

Philip is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Kirsten Reeder Howe; daughters, Sarah (David) Elliott of Grayslake, IL, and Susie (Sam O’Connor-Divelbiss) Howe of Lake Bluff, IL; granddaughters, Edith and Zoe; and siblings, Judith Bennett of Marietta, GA, Elizabeth Bonanno of Suwanee, GA, Stephen Howe of Kalispell, MT, and Michael Howe of Peterborough, NH. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 4pm until 8pm. A Funeral Mass is scheduled at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 22333 W Erhart Road, Mundelein, IL 60060 on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 11am. Interment will be private. Roberto Arroyo

Roberto Arroyo, 73, a resident of Round Lake, IL, passed away April 11, 2024 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL.He was born June 7,1950 in Xochitepec Mexico to Pardo and Enemesia Arroyo.

After Roberto’s long battle with kidney disease now able to join his two infant children and his beloved mother-In-law Eufemia in heaven.

Roberto loved sitting on his deck enjoying his music especially Creedence Clearwater Revival. He was an avid soccer fan and he would religiously watch his favorite soccer club Cruz Arul. Even as it appeared that he was napping he would still be “watching” his favorite team on the field. He will always be remembered as the comedian and jokester of the family and always kept his family laughing even during the hard times.  His sense of humor and hard work etic is the greatest gift he bestowed to his three sons and his grandchildren.

Roberto is survived by his wife of 54 years Julia Arroyo, his children Roberto (Kari) Arroyo Jr., Sergio (Karla} Arroyo, Lali also known as Dario Arroyo, his grandchildren Camryn Arroyo, Carisa Arroyo, Aaron Arroyo, and Adam Arroyo.

Shirley L. Murray

Shirley Lee Murray was born on August 11th, 1935, in Baltimore City, Maryland, and died on April 8th, 2024, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Shirley grew up in Maryland with her parents, four sisters, and two brothers. As an adult, she started working as a waitress at the Mary-Bo Restaurant &Truck stop and met the love of her life, Edward G. Murray. Eds’ family owned that truck stop, and when he came in to eat, Eds’ eye was caught by a beautiful young lady who devoted her life to him for the next 47 years. It was indeed love at first sight. The two married in 1953 and had their first child, Debra, in 1954. Edward Jr followed in 1956, Billie in 1958, Pamela in 1962, and Cindy in 1966.

She was the biggest cheerleader of her five children and a nephew who lived with them. Shirley always had their backs! After having moved around- from Maryland to California to Michigan, the family settled in Round Lake Park. While raising her family, she worked for the Canteen Corporation at the College of Lake County in Grayslake and Baxter in Round Lake.

Shirley kept herself busy with hobbies such as sewing, making ceramic pieces for years, and entering them into the Lake County Fair. She won many ribbons, some first-place ones!  She loved scrapbooking family events and making beautiful books about the whole family. She loved quilting and made lovely quilts for her children and grandchildren.  However, one thing she spent over 20 years on was her Genealogy research, and she left behind a beautiful family history that dates to 1878.

Shirley is survived by her children: Debra (Jay) Tumulak of Grayslake, IL; Edward (Cheryl) Murray of Somerset, KY; Billie (Mary) Murray of Delavan, WI; Pamela (Rob) Cecchini of Antioch, IL, and Cindy (Randy) Feldkamp of Kenosha, WI; her grandchildren: Jim (Christy) Arrajj, Shannon (Eric) Fender, Aaron (Leann) Arrajj, Marlone Louie Tumulak, Joshua (Jackie) Murray, Melissa Gensel, Alicia (Stephen) Cole, Brandon (Sarah) Murray, Chaz (Mallory) Whetstone, Tyler Whetstone, Lacy Lanciloti, Vincent Lanciloti, Blake Lanciloti, Lisa Sparks, and Jaylene Sparks; her 26 great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Donna Hollingsworth, Marion DuFour, Bonnie (Jim) Thompson, Bo Goad, and many nephews and nieces.

Her husband, Edward Sr.; sister, Patricia Sargent; brother, Robert Jones; two brothers-in-law, Buddy Hollingsworth, and Billy DuFour; and two grandchildren, Doug Sparks and Louis Lanciloti, preceded her in death.

All will enormously miss her.

Marlene H. Keefe

Marlene Helen Keefe, age 91, passed away on April 10, 2024 at her home in Ingleside, IL.  She was born on December 22, 1932 in Chicago to James and Marie (nee Tonyan) Casey. 

Marlene is survived by her son, Pat (Dawn) Keefe; and her sisters, Marge Meade and Donna Cushing.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; and her brother, James Casey.

Barbara A. Baer

Barbara Ann Baer, of Johnsburg, Illinois passed away in Crystal Lake, Illinois on Saturday, March 30, 2024.  She was the daughter of George Robert Baer Sr. and Mary Margaret (Newkirk) Baer of Hagerstown, Indiana. 

Her Education included primary grades at Hagerstown, Hagerstown High School class of 1964, her undergraduate at Columbus College Georgia, and her Masters at Northern Illinois University.  She taught mathematics at Warren Township High School.

Barb enjoyed many sports, but loved playing softball and was on many area teams.  Some of her favorite activities included camping, country music, traveling and was an avid Star Trek fan.

She is survived by her brother, Bob and sister-in-law, Joyce Baer with whom she loved to spend time with. Also important to her were her three nephews, Bob (Tracy) Baer, Andrew Baer, and Will (Katie) Baer, she was very proud of her great niece, Dahlia.  Her step mother, Diane Baer living in Texas. Her many friends, Linda Messinger was her housemate, Elaine Frantz and Susan Detweiler formerly of Hagerstown whom went to school with Barb.

Marilee A. Hart

Marilee A. Hart, 93, a resident of McHenry, IL, passed away on April 3, 2024 surrounded by her four children at her home.  She was born March 27, 1931 in Walnut, IL to Homer and Violet Winger.

Marilee was an elementary school teacher in North Chicago for many years.  Along with her husband, she owned and operated the Grayslake Dog and Suds for 12 years, where some of her fondest memories were of the kids they employed.  She was a loving wife for 57 years to her husband Kenneth and an incredibly loving mother to her four children.  Marilee and her husband enjoyed a wonderful group of friends and fellow educators, known as the “Mr. Lucky Club”.  Marilee and Kenneth, in their golden years, especially enjoyed their 14 trips to Hawaii and it became a special place in both their hearts.

Marilee is survived by her children Robert (Kori) Hart, Karen (Larry) Brooks, David (Kay) Hart, and Linda (Bill) Vaananen, her grandchildren Megan Hart, Kaylin Hart, Ryan Brooks, Kyle Brooks, Lauren Brooks, Mia Vaananen and Ian Vaananen, her great-grandchild Rylee Brooks, and her sister Annette Aschenbrenner.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Kenneth Hart, and her sister Phyllis Winger.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Monday, April 8, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. John Dynes Jr.

John Dynes Jr., 98, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, passed away peacefully with family at his side April 2, 2024, at the Bickford of Crystal Lake, IL.  He was born August 1925 in Donora, PA to John and Anna Dynes.

A veteran of World War II, John served with the US Navy in the Asiatic Pacific area.  Later he spent many years with the US Postal Service as both a mail carrier and maintenance man. John had a wide range of interests, enjoying math, drawing, designing and dyeing Pysanki Easter eggs, and capturing memories through home movies and photos. Other interests were model building, stamp and coin collecting, wood carving, car racing, polka dancing, and he was dedicated to compiling family history on both sides of his family.  Peace was found in nature walks and fishing, in addition to watching football and car racing. He was always curious, visiting historic sites and museums. John had a love of acquiring knowledge about science and technology especially regarding the space program and sharing his skills and experiences.  Most of all, he liked visiting and helping family, and friends who were considered extended family. Watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren grow up provided him immense joy.

John is survived by his children Donna (Mike), Linda (Steve), and Ken (Debbie), his grandchildren Jenn (Ken), Joe (Courtney), and Jim (Tom), and his great-grandchildren Joey, Annabelle, and Riley.  He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Rose Dynes.

A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for April 10, 2024, at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. John H. Koenig

John “Hans” H. Koenig, 89, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away April 2, 2024 at his home.  He was born July 16, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Michael and Anna Koenig. 

John was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the US Marines.  He retired from the Chicago Police Department after serving for over 30 years, having reached the rank of Detective.  He was an avid golfer and bowler.

John is survived by his children Kim Koenig and Mark Koenig, his loving companion Marie Hall and her wonderful family, his niece and nephews Terri Lamberti, Mike Koenig, and Paul Koenig, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Sandra, his brother Michael, and his niece Annie Koenig.

A visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm.  The funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at 11:00am at the funeral chapel.  Interment will be held at Willow Lawn Cemetery in Vernon Hills, IL. Roger Richardson

Roger Oliver Richardson a longtime (58 years) resident of Grayslake, IL passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at the age of 93.  He was born June 23, 1930, in Ingleside, IL to Zella and Leo (Mike) Richardson.

Roger was a graduate of Grant High School in Fox Lake, Illinois. After high school, he started working for Illinois Bell. Two years later he enlisted in the United States Airforce, where he served during the Korean War. After the Airforce, he returned to Illinois Bell in Waukegan, IL and met the love of his life, Patsy R. Cranor. Roger and Patsy married in 1954 and were inseparable! Upon an early retirement from the telephone company, he opened his own business “Rogers Add a Phone” and loved it!

Rog enjoyed reading the newspaper daily, gardening, bird watching, vacationing in the Northwoods, trips to Gulf Shores and miscellaneous projects around his and his children’s homes. His biggest joy was spending time with family. He was a proud member of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake.

Roger was a devoted husband, treasured friend, and a wonderful grandfather and dad. He was very grateful every day for all his blessings. He had an infectious laugh and lived his life glass half full, always happy and smiling. He was the life of the party and will be deeply missed. Roger is survived by his 3 daughters Sandy (John) Sparkman, Debbie (Carl) Wilt, and Lisa (Trent) Farm, his grandchildren, Christopher (Steph) Sparkman, Kaila (TJ) Rumpf, Carson Sparkman, McKenzie Wilt, Brooke Wilt, Max (Rinda) Mansell, his step grandchildren Jaclyn and Jillian Farm, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Wife Patsy, his parents, and sister Nancy (Richardson) Tinney.

A visitation is scheduled for Friday, April 5 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL.  A funeral service is scheduled for Saturdary, April 6, 2024 at 10:00 am at the United Protestant Church, 54 S. Whitney St., Grayslake, IL. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Protestant Church. Maureen P. Schroeder

Maureen P. Schroeder, age 90, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away on March 21, 2024 at her home.  She was born on February 23, 1934 in Hollywood, CA to John and Dorothy (nee Bending) Clooney.

Maureen was a lifelong parishioner at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Round Lake, IL.

Maureen is survived by her children, Tricia (Jim) Cioni of Wadsworth, Jennifer (Glenn) Parks of Twin Lakes, WI, and Kerry Southworth of Bloomfield, WI; her grandchildren, Jeffrey (Annie) Cioni of Lake Forest, Cara (Thomas) Weber of Clarendon Hills, IL, Michael (Stacey) Southworth of Lake in the Hills, Taylor (Shawn) Breit of Sheboygan, WI, Conner Parks of Camp Lejeune, NC, Maureen Southworth of Bloomfield, WI, and Logan Parks of Virginia; 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. Schroeder; her son, Robert J. Schroeder; and her parents. 

A memorial visitation and service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 11am until 1pm with a service commencing at 12pm.
