Anthony V. Damore a resident of Grayslake passed away Wednesday March 6, 2013, at the age of 34. He was born January 7, 1979 in Libertyville to Vincent and Margaret Damore. Anthony is survived by his parents Vincent and Margaret Damore, his fiancee Dori Johnson, his grandmother Helen Damore, his siblings Nicole (Michael Hanna) Damore, Joseph Damore, and Jeffrey Damore, and his niece and nephew Gavin, Katlyn, and Dominic. He was preceded in death by his grandfathers Joseph Damore and Wallace Robidou. Larry W. Smith

Larry W Smith, 67, beloved husband of Barbara, passed away peacefully at home on February 26, 2013 surrounded by loved ones. Larry was born July 22, 1945 and was a long time resident of Round Lake Park, IL. Larry is survived by his beloved wife of 40 years Barbara (nee: Bechtel) Smith, his brother Jerry (Von) Smith, his sisters Belinda (Dan) Mateja, Tina (Alex) Hernandez, his sons Eric (Chrissy) Smith, Darrin (Julie) Smith, Joseph (Lori) Smith, his daughters Michelle (Shannon) Strickland, and Jaclyn (Jimmy) Vatistas, and his 14 grandchildren, and his 8 great-grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers Ronnie and Jimmy. Angela Janice Mannoia-Macdonald

Angela Janice Mannoia-Macdonald, 38, of Grayslake, Il, joined our loving Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 1, 2013 in Grayslake, Il.

Home Going Services will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, March 6, 2013, beginning with a wake from 4 -7 p.m. The funeral service will begin promptly at 7 p.m. with Reverend Pastor Jean Franco Valdimar MDiv, ThM officiating. The interment will be private.

Angela Macdonald was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Nancy and Thomas Mannoia on March 16, 1974. She graduated from Waukegan High School in 1992. Angela went on to study at the College of Lake County. She worked as a financial services specialist for Volkswagon for many years. Angela loved baking and cake decorating. She dreamed of someday opening her own bakery.

Angela Macdonald is survived by her devoted husband, Keith, stepson, KJ, parents, Nancy and Thomas Mannoia, brother, Joe, God brother Richard, God sisters Kathy, Theresa, Beverly and Heather, Grandmother, Janice Marie Bowles, Brother-In-Law, Kevin, loving Aunts Shirley and Kathy, Uncles Melvin and Victor Sr., a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins, and her Mother-In-Law, Nancy Macdonald, who she loved immensely.

David A. Schwalbach

Schwalbach, David Allen
69, passed away on February 26, 2013, in Zion, IL. He was born on February 15, 1944 in Bloomfield, NJ and grew up in Wildwood, IL, where he graduated from Warren Township High School. David joined the U.S. Marine Corps, in 1962, and served for four years. In 1970, David began his career at Schuller International/Manville Corporation, Waukegan, IL, where he worked as an industrial electrician and was very involved in the Manville Workers Union. In 1996, he began working for Ladish, in Cudahy, WI and retired in 2007. David was a long-time Waukegan resident and an avid fisherman, Chicago White Sox and Bears fan.
David is survived by his daughters, Christine Stapleton of Beach Park, IL, Laura (Jon) Stead of Lindenhurst, IL, and Elizabeth Graczyk (Steve Garofalo) of Mount Pleasant, WI; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Justin, and Camille Stapleton, Sara Stead and Gabriel Graczyk; former wife Karyn Roberts; sisters, Ellen (Tom) Maxymek, Linda (Vitale) DeNicolis, Peggy (Chuck) Spangenberg, Judy Confrey, Mary (Bob) Kingsbury, Lisa (Joe) Bigalke; brother E. J. (Sandra) Schwalbach, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his sister, Jeanne Cantley, and his parents Herbert and Marion Schwalbach.
Visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, from 3 until 7 p.m. on Sunday, March 3. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m., on Monday, March 4, at the funeral home. Interment to follow in Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Shirley Stalker

Shirley A. Stalker, age 66, a resident of Gages Lake, passed away Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at her home. She was born September 28, 1946 in Binghamton, NY, to Robert and Dorothy (nee Rutherford) Webb. Survivors include her children, David (Catherine) Sprague of Lindenhurst, Laurie Sprague of Winter Park, FL, Leslie (Kamila) Allen of Norridge, and Amanda (Lawrence) Link of Grayslake; grandchildren, Kaleigh, Emily, Sarah and Angelina; siblings, Sheila Moskey of Kennett Square, PA, Steven Webb of Binghamton, NY, Perry (Alicia) Webb of Charleston, SC, and Judy (Jack) Williams of Jacksonville, FL; and a very special niece, Natalie Markovitch. Mabel C. Bennett

Mabel C. Bennett, a former resident of Saddlebrook Farms in Grayslake, passed away Monday February 25, 2013, at the age of 94. She was born August 11, 1918 in Cedar Rapids, IA to James and Wanda Simmermon. Mabel was a member of the St. Mary of Annunciation Church in Mundelein and began the Gift of Love program at St. Francis in Lake Zurich. She owned and operated Bennett Embroidery for over 40 years and made rosaries for missions trips by the church. She will be missed and known for touching many peoples lives over the years. Mabel is survived by her children Judith (Tony) Majcher, Jared (Pam) Bennett, Christine Bennett, Deborah (Joseph) Sorgani, Mary Bennett, and Charles (Barbara) Bennett, her grandchildren Debra, David, Tony, Jason, Paul, Scott, Tom, Amanda, Joe, and Brittany, and many great-grandchildren. Mark G. Duffy

Mark G. Duffy, 62, of Grayslake, IL passed away suddenly on February 22, 2013. He was born in Chicago, IL to Charles and Kathleen (Mick) Duffy. Mark is survived by his children, Meagan, James and Mark.
Brother, Brian (Carol) and sisters, Lynne and Carol (Marty) DeGrazia. He was preceded in death by his father and sister, Julie.
Mark (Dad, Coach, Pops, PaPa Duff, husband, brother, son, uncle, nephew and friend) will be profoundly missed.
Owner of Duffy’s Carpentry since 1981, Worked throughout the Evanston and Chicagoland areas including the restoration of several Howard Johnson Restaurants.
Mark was actively involved in Grayslake Snowmobile Club, along with the joy of sailing, flying, target shooting were some of the many interests.

Angel L. Cosme

Angel L. Cosme, a resident of Gurnee and formerly of Chicago, passed away Sunday February 24, 2013 at the age of 88. He was born June 9, 1924 in Puerto Rico to Concepcion Cosme. Angel had owned and operated Hispana Travel Agency in Chicago for 25 years. He loved to fish especially in the Gulf. Angel is survived by his children Angel (Donna) Cosme, Robert (Patricia) Cosme, and Edward (Linda) Cosme, his grandchildren Brian, Kevin, and Michael Cosme, Kimberly (Erik) Fudala, Christina (Kevin) Fix, Steven and Caitlin Cosme, and Amanda (Todd) Combes, and his 9 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of almost 60 years, Josie, his mother, and his daughter and her husband Linda and Dennis Jaroszewski. Robert D. Wedrall

Robert D. Wedrall, a resident of Lake Villa, passed away peacefully at his home Friday February 22, 2013 at the age of 77. He was born March 1, 1935 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Harriett Wedrall. Robert started his career as a Tool and Die maker at Superior Plastics in Chicago, before working for Baxter in Round Lake, and continuing his career at Intermatic in Spring Grove. During that time he also started his own mold polishing business. Robert was a member of St. Bede Catholic Church. He was a nature lover who liked to fish and boat. Robert was known as a generous man to others as well as the animals he cared for. Robert is survived by his children Kenneth Wedrall, Laura (David) Stang, Linda (John) Nickerson, his grandchildren Jennifer and Jonathan Stang, his brother John Wedrall, and he was an uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia, his parents, his brother Leonard, and his sister Marilyn. Archie V. Anderson Sr.

Archie Vincent Anderson Sr., 74, beloved husband of Patricia Wapniarski Anderson passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2013 surrounded by loved ones after a courageous battle with cancer. Archie was born August 13, 1938 and a long time resident of Grayslake, IL. Archie was a retired truck driver Teamster Local 301, member of the Royal Dressers Motorcycle Club, and an avid car enthusiast. Archie enjoyed attending car shows, flea markets, and hosting Tuesday’s “Retired Truck Drivers” Meeting. Archie is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years Patricia (nee: Wapniarski) Anderson, his brother Don (Louise) Anderson of MI, his sons Archie (Jill) Anderson Jr., Donald (Palmer) Kick, Ted (Joyce) Anderson, and Dale (Rebecca) Anderson, his daughters Anna (Nathan) Krecl, Connie (Greg) Larson, and Karen Anderson, his grandchildren Bill Byrne, Torri Simon, Kyle Kick, and Clayton Larson, and his beloved great-granddaughter Ella-Mae. James A. Jones

James A. Jones, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Sunday February 17, 2013, at the age of 71. He was born July 29, 1941 in Chicago, IL to Earl and Doris Jones. James was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served for 4 years with the Air Force. James worked for 26 years on the Round Lake Fire Department and 10 years with Murphy Ambulance. He was also a member of the Chicagoland Mopar Club. James is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patsy, his children Christopher (Zok), Mark, and Donna, his grandchildren Jennifer, Maryann, Nicole, and Michael, and Jimmy and Amanda Thompson, his dog Bo, and his numerous in-laws, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings Don, Louis, Jack, Alice, and his 3 sisters that perished in a house fire. William P. Huber

William “Bill” P. Huber, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Sunday February 17, 2013, in Libertyville, at the age of 64. He was born October 7, 1948 in Ohio to Richard and Betty Huber. William was a member of the Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake. He retired from Hawthorne Center where he worked in maintenance and landscaping. William is survived by his wife Linda (nee: Slak), whom he wed on June 13, 1970, his daughters Victoria Huber of Round Lake Beach, and Debbi Huber of Round Lake Beach, his grandsons William Joshua and Reylend Joshewa, his brothers Richard of Round Lake Beach and Stephen of Grayslake, his sisters Susan (Robert) Somers of Round Lake Beach and Mary Gatchet of Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. Walter C. Petruczenko, age 82, passed away Mon. Betty June (nee: Getty) (nee: Eide) Ruda, a resident of Lake Villa, passed away Wednesday February 13, 2013 at the age of 80. She was born June 1, 1932 in Troy, MO to Roger Carl Getty and Verna Groce. Betty loved the Lord with all her heart and sacrificed her life for her family embodying the true testament of a mother. She was full of life and enjoyed cooking for her family. Betty was a friend and colleague to many; continued working and loving her work up until her last days. Amy C. Krajewski

Amy C. Krajewski, born January 14, 1960 in Cincinnati, OH, a resident of Third Lake, IL, died unexpectedly on February 5, 2013.
Amy was the beloved wife of thirty years to Cliff Krajewski, and mother of Natalie, Christian and Daniel. Immediate family includes her sister Lisa Sutherlin (Steve), and brother Rex Carroll (Ruth). She was the daughter-in-law of John and Delores Krajewski, and sister-in-law of Casey Krajewski (Vilja) and Paul Krajewski.
Amy was a loving, devoted and caring mother to her family, and active in the Wildwood Presbyterian Church and Wagging Hearts, a pet adoption agency. Outdoor photography was her passion. Amy attended Southern Illinois University before joining Nissan Motors Acceptance, Oklahoma City, OK. After moving to Third Lake, IL Amy worked with Baxter V. Mueller, Niles, IL; EndoPlus, Niles, IL; MacClean-Fogg, Vernon Hills, IL; One Hope United, Lake Villa, IL and most recently Table Craft, Gurnee, IL. Her very most important job, the one to which she was most dedicated, was raising three beautiful and talented children. This alone gave her Super Hero status in the eyes of her children and those of her husband. She started Amy Krajewski Photography in 1993 and truly enjoyed working with families and sports teams. She was always on the field or court making sure each participant’s photo was captured and available for their enjoyment at the conclusion of each season. Although she said this was a job, it was her passion, and her way of giving back to the community. Roger W. McKee, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away Thursday February 7, 2013, at the age of 54. He was born March 18, 1958 in Lake Forest, IL to Richard and Audrey McKee. Roger was an employee for Allstate in Northbrook for 32 years. One of his favorite pastimes was snowmobiling. Roger is survived by his wife of 20 years Karen, his siblings Joan Utter, Melinda (Arnie Utke) McKee, Debra (Chester) Oszkandy, Patricia Borgstrom, and Mark McKee, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and a great-nephew. She had also worked for Coleman Cable Company for the past 7 years. (nee Benda) Schlicht.  He served in the Army during World War II and retired from the Great Lakes Naval Base.  He was member of the Sheet Metal Union #73, charter member of the Gagewood Lions Club, and former head usher at St. Gilbert Catholic Church in Grayslake.  He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Julia (nee Griffiths); eleven children, David (Nancy) Schlicht, Susan Schlicht, Paul “Duffy” Schlicht, Lorraine “Lolo” (Chuck) Butterfield, Edward Schlicht, Joseph (Janine) Schlicht, Julie Schlicht, Margaret Schlicht, Catherine (Mike) Morrison, Jayne Onan, and Therese (Greg) Skarbalus; 30 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and a son-in-law, William Roberts.  He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Charles Schlicht; one daughter, Mary Roberts; and sisters, Minerva Kratky and Loraine Meinke.  Friends of the family may visit on Sunday, February 10, 2013 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Visitation will continue on Monday, February 11, 2013 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E.
