Catherine Marks, a resident of Gurnee, passed away Saturday February 15, 2014, at the age of 74. She was born October 25, 1939 in St. Louis, MO. A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday February 19, 2014 from 1:00pm until 9:00pm at the funeral chapel. Robert J. Roelle

Robert J. Roelle, a resident of Mundelein, passed away Sunday February 16, 2014, at the age of 94. He was born May 24, 1919 in Chicago, IL to Fred and Nell Roelle. Robert was a veteran of World War II having served for the Army. He was a member and former treasurer of Calvary Presbyterian Church in Round Lake and a life member of the American Legion Post 1170. Robert is survived by his children Marilynn (Rich) Walters and Dr. Robert (Renee) Roelle, his grandchildren Deanna (Edwin) Brown, Melissa (Dave) Fularczyk, Rick (Hailey) Walters, Wendy (Commander Jeff) Farah, Dr. Rob (Maria) Roelle, and Chris (Ryan) Roelle, and his 21 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Anna, and his 12 brothers and sisters. Lucille J. Tysdal, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Wednesday February 12, 2014, at the age of 91. She was born June 22, 1922 in Chicago, IL to William and Helen Litz. Lucille was a member of the Daughters of the Nile the Zenobia Chapter having served as a past Queen. Lucille is survived by her son John Tysdal, her grandchildren Christopher (Michelle) Tysdal and John (Deanna) Tysdal, and her great-grandchildren Christopher, Emma, Matthew, Luke and Piper. Edeltraut “Trudy” Pruetting

Edeltraut “Trudy” Pruetting, a resident of Wildwood for over 53 years, passed away February 6, 2014, at the age of 79. Trudy was born July 13, 1934 in Germany to Will and Helene Kurzeja. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for a longtime in her early years. Trudy was known for creating the name “Pink Beach”, by painting her own home pink, adjacent to the current Willow Point Park. Trudy is survived by her children Peter Pruetting, Andreas “Andy” (Kathy) Pruetting, and Angela Meyer, her grandchildren Wesley and Danielle Pruetting, Cassie Zell, Candace Pruetting, and Savannah and Bryce Meyer, and her 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fredrick “Fritz” Pruetting and her son Barney Pruetting. Lorraine Erickson

Lorraine Erickson, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away February 6, 2014 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL, at the age of 72.  She was born August 31, 1941 in Waukegan, IL.  Lorraine attended Grace Community Church in Grayslake.  She was a retired secretary of Oak Grove School in Libertyville.  Lorraine is survived by her husband of 53 years, Richard, whom she wed on October 24, 1959, her children Robin (Terry) Bruner and Ronelle Erickson, and her grandchildren Alyson Bruner, Matthew (Jane) Bruner, and Abby (Evan) Condron.  She was preceded in death by her son Richard Jr.  A memorial visitation is scheduled for Sunday February 9, 2014 from 11:00am until 1:00pm with a memorial service commencing at 1:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Anita Boothe
Anita Boothe of Grayslake, 73, passed away on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 with family surrounding her. She was a loving mother and wife. Her strength gave everyone who knew her a benchmark that none of us could ever match. Traveling around in their RV, especially to the Gulf Shores of Alabama, was her delight, and she spent the last 17 years doing so with her loving husband by her side. She was the chef for all because her love could be seen in every dish. She is survived by her husband, Crozier Joe Boothe, of 22 years. She is also survived by her children; Richard G. (Julie) Hazlewood, Scott M. (Jennifer) Biggs, Stephen (Lou) Biggs, M. Elayne (Harvey) Eichelberger, Jerry (Kim) Boothe, Leslye (Mike) Haney, and Lou (Steve) Boothe. She also was the proud grandparent to 17 and proud great grandparent to 14. Visitation will be Friday, February 7, 2014 from 4-8pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. MacMillanMark A. MacMillan, a resident of Antioch, passed away January 31, 2014, at the age 41. He was born March 29, 1972 in Ridgewood, NJ to Bruce and Joan MacMillan. Mark had worked for Abbvie/Abbott for the past 10 years and was a member of Faith Church in Grayslake. He was a huge New York Giants and New York Yankees fan. He was a graduate of Siena College in New York and loved to be the “family tech support” by helping with any technology. Blanca Lahera

Blanca Lahera, age 81, of Round Lake Beach passed away Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at her home. She was born June 14, 1932 in Sancti Spiritus, Cuba. Blanca was a member of St. Joseph Church in Round Lake and was a 25 year heart transplant survivor. Her greatest gift of these additional years was that she was able to get to know and love her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Hugo J. Lahera, Juan L. Lahera, Juan C. (Sandy) Lahera, and Ellen R. (Doug) Richter; her grandchildren, David, Nicolas, Michael, Katie, Tyler, and Chloe; a sister, Mercedes de Rojas; and a brother, Agustin de Rojas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hugo P. Lahera, whom she married on July 3, 1948. William Earl Clark Jr.

William Earl Clark Jr., 80, of Eagle River, WI, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014 at Aspirus Hospital, in Wausau, WI. He was born in Evanston on March 21, 1933 to William and Louise (nee Ellis) Clark. A farmer for over 50 years, William loved to travel and put on ceramic shows. He was also famous for his beef vegetable soup. He is survived by two daughters, Penny Bublitz and Jackie (Lee) Baillargeon, both of Wisconsin; a step-daughter, Beth Nelson, of Illinois; eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Betsey Kroeck of Colorado. Charles J. Gillies, age 83, of Grayslake passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at his home. He was born February 21, 1930 in Chicago to Alexander and Florence (nee Wulf) Gillies. Charles loved to do woodworking, take walks at the Grove, visit Disney World, and spend time with his family. Michael “Mike” A. Przybylo, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Sunday January 26, 2014, at the age of 50. He was born May 2, 1963 in Chicago, IL to Allen and Juanda Greenspon. Michael was the loving husband of his late wife Jessica (nee: Jackson). Michael is survived by his parents Allen and Juanda Greenspon, his brother Robert (Sharon) of Lancaster, SC, his niece Monika of Round Lake Beach, his nephew Mathew (Emily) of Fort Myers, FL, his great-nieces Delilah and Amelia, his special friends Kitty, Todd, Josh, Bo, and Doug. He was preceded in death by his grandparents John and Evelyn Hommrich, his grandmother Verna Bork, his baby brother Joseph Przybylo, and his brother Timothy Przybylo on November 26, 2013. Mike loved the outdoors, fishing, hiking, camping, and climbing. His favorite spot was Devils Lake in Baraboo, WI. Clara loved to crochet and cook, but, more than anything, she loved to be a Grandma. Leonard E. Burge, 91, a resident of Naperville, and a former 80 year resident of Grayslake, passed away Thursday January 23, 2014. During his years in Grayslake, Leonard was employed at Rockenbach Chevrolet for 34 years and was very active in many church and local community organizations including serving for many years as a Board Member for the Grayslake Historical Society. Leonard was the beloved husband of Mary K, who preceded him in death in 2010, the loving father of Barbara (Art) Grant, Marilyn (Guy) Head, Gary (Mary) Burge, and Susanne (Scott) Dahl; dear grandfather of 14 grandchildren; and fond great-grandfather of 17 great-grandchildren.
