Daniel Long, 83, a resident of Palm Harbor, FL passed away on Wednesday September 3rd, 2014. He was born September 18th, 1930 in Chicago, IL to Frank and Rose Long. Daniel was a navy veteran having served during the Korean War. He met his wife of 41 years, Margaret, while stationed at Great Lakes Naval Base. After serving nine years, he left the navy, a few years later started his  plumbing business, Longbranch plumbing in 1959, which remained in business for 36 years.

Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, his infant son, Daniel, his parents, Frank and Rose, his brother in laws, Thomas, Richard and Carl, Dick, and sister in laws, Joyce, Grace, Glenda, and Lori. Nephews David, and John.

Daniel is survived by his daughters, Cindy and Kathleen (Michael), his grand children, Karly, Chad, Richard and Kenneth, his siblings Joan, Jean (Charles), Audrey (Henry) and Frank and his brother and sister in laws, Mary, Kathleen (Tom), Patricia (Terry), Susan, Betty(Ed) and David(Betty) and many nieces and nephews.

Vasile Matei-Maier, 72 years old died peacefully in the comfort of his own home on August 28, 2014 after a long battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving wife, Elena, his younger sister Maria, his two beautiful daughters Paula and Iona, and his amazing son Alexandru, along with his two sons-in-law Laurentiu and Aurel, and his only granddaughter Denise. Beverly Lonberg, 78, a resident of Round Lake Beach, passed away Friday August 22, 2014. She was born January 20, 1936 in Elmhurst, IL to Walter and Blanche Ninneman. Beverly was a member of the Eastern Star and a Trustee of Calvary Presbyterian Church. She graduated Phi Theta Kappa from the College of Lake County and owned and operated 3 hair salons in Cook County. Beverly was a leather craftsman, a professional artist, and a certified clown known as “Pickles”. She worked as a phlebotomist and hematologist in the medical field as well. Phyllis A. Lindstrom, 86, a resident of Libertyville and formerly of Wildwood, passed away Wednesday August 13, 2014. She was born May 30, 1928 in Chicago, IL to John and Hildagarde Anderson. Phyllis had worked for Rockenbach for 20 years. She was an avid Bears and Cubs fan and had many great memories with the Bunco ladies. Nick passed easy at the age of 85 on Thursday August 14, 2014 in his home in Wildwood, IL surrounded by those who love him the most; JoAnn Legault “Pj”, loving and caring companion for over 30 years, Steve “Fizzy”, Kerri “The Nayba”, Erin, Steven, Brandon “Monster”, especially Logan, his Big Boy, and Dahlah who never left his side.  He was born February 12, 1929 in Fall River, MA, raised by his grandmother at Westport Factory until the age of 5 and grew up in Little Compton, RI.  He is survived by his son Donald L. (Shirlee) Nickerson, a grandson Gregory, a granddaughter Christina McKenzie and 2 great-grandsons Matthew and Michael Mckenzie.  He will be tremendously missed by his Oklahoma family and skating friends, and other family and friends too numerous to mention.  He worked for ComEd for 37and ½ years as a Lineman Special and has enjoyed his 27 and ½ years of retirement.  He was a die hard roller skater all of his life, skating his last dance in April.  The Old Man has requested that all come to celebrate his life with a cup of coffee and a bowl of soup at Mrs. V’s Restaurant, 855 E. Robyn Linette Fulmer, age 24, of Wauconda, passed away Sunday, August 10, 2014 in Fort Worth, TX while battling with addiction. She was born April 3, 1990 in Elmhurst to Rich Fulmer and Patricia Shaw. Robyn loved the Bears and Blackhawks. She also loved playing the guitar and long boarding. She was also an amazing point guard for the Wauconda Bulldogs. She is survived by her parents and her sisters, Jenny, of Racine, WI and Hannah of Wauconda.
