Obituary's Biography:

Michael C. Russo, 59, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, January 20, 2019, at his home in Ingleside. Michael suffered from many complications of diabetes and his long road of suffering has ended and he is with God now. Mike was born on July 25, 1959 and was raised by his parents May and Sonny Russo on the northwest side of Chicago. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Joy C. (nee: Schultz) Russo, his younger sister Teresa “Terri” (Robert) Godar, his sister-in-law Faith (Mark) Krebs, and his nephew Nicholas Krebs. Michael also known as “Big Mike” had a heart as big as his name and showed generosity and compassion in many ways. He loved Chicago sports, music, and debating various topics. Mike loved animals, the outdoors, and a good party. He always made people feel welcome in his house and when they were down on their luck. A memorial visitation and service is scheduled for Thursday, January 24, 2019 from 10:00am until 12:00pm with the memorial service commencing at 12:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
