Obituary's Biography:
Melodie Brennan, 64, of Johnsburg, IL., passed away on February 3, 2025, at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL. She was born in August of 1960 in Chicago to Francis and Mona Jean Serra.
Melodie was a devoted mother of 3 who dedicated her life to caring for her family. She always gave 100% of herself to the ones that she loved, often putting her own needs to the side. Her selflessness and endless love will live on through her children and grandchildren.
She was an amazing cook and enjoyed sharing love through food. Melodie also had a deep love for animals, having rescued and rehabilitated many animals. Her love was endless.
Melodie was also an incredibly talented artist, having created many amazing works in her lifetime. She enjoyed crocheting, making costumes, making specialty décor items and was especially talented at holiday décor. She had a natural instinct for design.
Melodie is survived by her children, Meagan (Adam) Shaver of Johnsburg, IL, Andrew (Stacy Sullivan) of Knoxville, TN and Tracy Brennan of Palatine, IL; her beloved grandchildren, Amelia Rose Shaver, and Sophie Lynn Shaver; and her siblings, Michelle Dearcangelis of Aurora, and Frank Serra of Lakeside Marblehead, Oh. She was preceded in death by her cherished dogs Rocco and Louie, her parents and grandmother Erma Glovinsky of Lakeside Marbleheard, OH.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Midwest Boston Terrier Rescue. Melodie worked with us in the Castle import building for several years. She was a wonderful person, who was always kind to everyone she met. She will be sorely missed. Our prayers are with her family during this difficult time. We are so sorry for your loss and of course “our” loss as well.
