I went through grade school and High School with Mary. She was a truly wonderful person, I am very sorry to learn of her death.
My deepest and heartfelt sympathies to Susie and family, Mary was a influential teacher to myself and countless others. She became much more than a remembered teacher andI have many fond memories of both her and Bill. they are truly missed.
I was very sorry to read about Mary’s passing. My sincere sympathy to Cory and Susie Leafblad.
I had Mrs. Conlin at Woodland many years ago and have never forgotten her. She was always kind, always willing to help and a calming but influential presence in my life. I can honestly say she is one of the reasons I became a teacher. She will be truly missed. My thoughts are with her family during this difficult time.
Mary Anne Conlin was my 5th grade teacher. She was my favorite teacher from K-12. Her enthusiasm and sparkling personality made 5th grade wonderful! We hatched chickens and ducks in 5th grade. I was lucky enough to win a duckling, which became my memorable pet. The duck, which I named Igor imprinted on me. Later when she laid eggs we learned her gender. I would take Igor on walks to Gages Lake to go for a swim and she would follow me right home. Mrs. Conlin led us in spirited competition against other 5th grade classes via softball and tug-o-war. In July 2015, I attended my 40th Warren High School reunion. I felt especially close to my classmates from Mrs. Conlin’s class. It was sad to learn at the reunion that she had passed too soon. She was loved by many and will be missed.
