Obituary's Biography:
Marilyn R. Shaver, age 64, a resident of Lindenhurst, passed away Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville after a three year battle with liver disease. She was born October 12, 1954 in Waukegan to Murlin (Bud) and Loretta Marshall. Marilyn was an aviation enthusiast, who, earlier in life, had earned hours towards getting her pilot’s license. She also loved to travel, especially her trips to Hawaii. She is survived by her domestic partner of 22 years, Scott Corlett; her children, Adam (Meagan) Shaver of Johnsburg and Eric Shaver of Lindenhurst; her brothers, Les (Carmella) Marshall of Grayslake and Bruce (Marilyn) Marshall of Port Orange, FL; and her beloved dog child, Pogo. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Daniel Shaver. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, December 9, 2018 from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at Lakewood Grove Clubhouse, 1653 Amarias Drive, Round Lake, IL 60073. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the ALS Association (http://www.alsa.org) in honor of Loretta Marshall, Marilyn’s mother, who was diagnosed with ALS/Lou Gehrig’s Disease.
