Marie McGowan, 95, passed away on Dec. 29, 2014. Preceded in death by loving husband Kenneth McGowan. Beloved mother of Carol (Roy) Motz, James (Sharon) McGowan, Patricia Remdt and Sandra (Lupe) Gallegos. Loving grandmother of Christine (David) Hammond, Robert (Michelle) Motz, Richard (Denise) Motz, Jennifer and Joshua McGowan, Victoria Remdt, Angelica and Daniel Gallegos. Dear great-grandmother of seven. Survived by siblings Ludwina King, Rita McWhorter, and Jack (Gayle) Hytrek and many dear friends at the Grayslake Senior Center. Visitation from 5-8 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 4 at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake; a visitation from 10am until the funeral at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 5 at Strang Funeral Chapel.
