I loved my brother with all my heart. I miss him every day and now even more. God bless him and our family with peace and comfort. Until we meet again…Kathie.
Buddy was a very good friend for 55 1/2 years and we kept in touch thru phone calls, texting and Facebook. I remember his mom and dad, his many siblings and Prince living above the laundry mat, I also remember his wife and his two daughters. I met up with him in 2017 when I was in the Chicago area. I’m going to miss him.
I will pray for you, Louis’s family and your siblings….May your hearts cherish the memories and may you rest from all the details we do when death knocks on the family’s door. He was highly thought of and I pray your pain doesn’t last as long as we fear it will…..When God called out for him, He just went to God and obeyed. Know he and his body has been restored… You WILL see him again. God Bless you always! x0
I am so sad to hear this. Godspeed Louis!!
So sorry for your loss. I went to high school with Louis and so enjoyed his Mundelein group on FaceBook. He really loved our town and made so many happy memories come to mind. He was a good man and will be missed by many.
I grew up in Mundelein but unfortunately my childhood was not a happy one. It took me 30 years to return and begin to remember the good things. The Facebook group he moderated did more for my mental health and happiness than any therapy. It was a joy to participate and a joy to read his posts. He will be greatly missed.
Sorry for your loss, Buddy will be missed.
Extending my deepest condolences to your family on your loss of Louis.
I thoroughly enjoyed his Mundelein FB page & to reminisce about our childhood days.
In my prayers 🙏
I am so very sorry to hear of this news. My deepest condolences are extended to your entire family. In my prayers and may you Rest In Peace, Louis
Buddy was always having to share his trike with me if I went outside while Mom did laundry and chatted with Lou…. I became close to all the kids and still love EVERYONE in the family….How blessed we were to have God hook the families up…. TY, Lord… As the head for the Mundelein site, he and I spoke through the night about what videos I might share w/him regarding all parades, The Semenary of the Lakes and tons of Mundelein memories footage was shared w/him. We spoke of so much history and could NOT believe how fast time went for us….El Palka Laudramat family…None of you will be forgoten…. God Bless you all…. Breathing free & soul flying…Till we meet again, friend…
I am so sorry and saddened to hear this news. I knew Louis through grade school and H.S. Such a caring and sweet man. He always had such great memories to share with the rest of us from Mundelein, and helped us relive the really good times of our youth. He will be greatly missed by so many and I pray for his wife, daughters and rest of family and friends that will really be affected by the loss of his presence. Louis will be with God, our Heavenly Father, watching us from His loving arms. 🙏❤🙏❤🙏
My deepest sympathies to Louis’s family and dearest friends. We became acquainted as co-moderators of the I Remember Mundelein Facebook group. I will always remember him as kind and open-hearted to all. I will miss him. Rest in peace, dear one.
Thank you Louis for being a part of our Mundelein fb page and sharing all of Mundelein’s history with us and keeping our memories alive. I am so glad I let you know so many times how much I appreciated your postings and sharings so that our years of growing up in Mundelein and the old Mundelein as it used to be would always be alive in our hearts. Our fb page is not going to be the same without you and I will from time to time be scrolling down to see your postings over the years. Fly high Louis Palka and Peace to You now.
So sorry to hear of the passing of Louis .
Prayers for your family.
Many fond memories of you, Buddy. Your friendly face at the Post Office and finally finding you on Facebook. You will be missed by many! Sympathy prayers for you, your family and your brothers and sisters… especially Ann!
My Deepest Condolences and Heartfelt Thought and Prayer to Susan and Daughters and Families … I am Jerry Hauber, good friends with Louis during Carmel High School Years and some years after. Graduated CHS May 1971. Lost time in those years following. Got reacquainted a bit living in Quail Creek, Grayslake Illinois. It is sad at this point in time as Class of 1971 reunites this October for 50th Class Reunion. I do live out of state, but planning to attend. Again, I just learned today of Louis’ passing receiving the CHS Alumni Newsletter. Today I am thinking of the times we shared after HS at the Mini Golf Mundelein, Louis’ siblings and Others … RIP to terrific classmate and Friend … Sincerely, Jerry Hauber, Lakewood Ranch, Florida
