Obituary's Biography:

Lester “Ray” Linder, age 84, of Hainesville, IL, formerly of Salem IL, passed away on December 15, 2024, at home.  He was born July 14, 1940, in Randolph, IL.  An army veteran, he was the son of the late Henry and Leota (Wells) Linder. 

Ray married his high school sweetheart, Gloria “Jean” (Buchanan) Linder on June 14, 1959, in Sims, IL.  They were blessed with 51 years of marriage. She preceded him in death June 15, 2010. 

Ray is survived by his children Karl Linder and Staci (Dave) Parmer of Hainesville, IL; his grandchildren Joshua, Robert, Keila, Lacie, Justin, Brendan, Nathan, and Jordan; great-grandchildren, including Christopher; sister Thelma “Kay” (Raymond “Andy”) Anderson of Hendersonville, NC; many extended family members; and his special buddy/granddog Oreo.

Services will be held at a later date at the chapel in Thomason Cemetery in Wayne City, IL.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Evergreen Christian Church in Salem, IL or The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
