Obituary's Biography:
Kevin James Wold, age 59, a resident of Lake Villa, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at his home. He was born March 4, 1961 in Waukegan to George and Margaret (Schrimpf) Wold. He is survived by his wife, Valerie, who he married 20 years ago on August 26, 2000 in Richmond Center, WI; his four children, Scott (Brittany) of Arizona, Steven (Caitlin) of Colorado, Jordan (Ana) Seger and Natasha (Kevin) Pendergast; his six grandchildren, Ava Pietrowski, Kali Pietrowski, Brett Pendergast, Kylie Wold, Joshua Sotelo, and Vera Seger; and his siblings, Robert (Lynette) Karr, Steven (Cathy) Karr, Debra (Tom) Krueger, Kimberly Phelps, and Terrance (Tracy) Wold. Kevin was preceded in death by his parents. Kevin adored his Grandchildren, playing guitar, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Helping anyone he could. All funeral services were held privately. Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. We were so sorry to hear of your loss. Everyone loved Kevin, his sense of humor, his willingness to help. Kev was simply ‘good people’. He will be deeply missed.
So very sorry to hear about Kevin. We were the same year in school. He was always so kind. My deepest condolences to all that knew and loved him.

Most of my fondest memories from High School have you in them, Kevin. We had a lot of laughs back then, and I know that somewhere you’re still laughing. I like the world less without you in it. RIP, my friend.
Deepest sympathy to everyone who knew and were blessed to have Kevin in their lives. I worked with him and he always had a smile on his face.
He will be missed. My prayers and thoughts for his family. Kevin was a great man with a huge heart, always available for those in need. He adored his grandchildren. My heart aches for this huge loss. We will miss him so much. Kevin always made us feel like family from day one. We so enjoyed his kindness, humor and the love he had for his kids and grandkids. Always in our hearts and memories.
I am so sorry to hear of Kevin’s passing. I am a teacher and aquatics director at VHHS and he was ALWAYS there to help me when I was in need. He was such a giving man and I will miss his friendship. I am saddened and very sorry for you loss. – Jim
