Karen June Chism (nee: Bartel), 79, a resident of Lindenhurst, IL, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2021 at The Terrace in Waukegan, IL. She was born December 9, 1941 in Euclid, OH, to Walter and Jean Bartel. Karen was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a Christian. Karen is survived by her husband Robert W. Chism whom she wed on June 1, 1963, her children and grandchildren. A memorial service is scheduled for Sunday, February 21, 2021 from 11:00 am at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there is a maximum of 50 people allowed in the funeral chapel and masks must be worn at all times. For information, call 847-223-8122.
