Obituary's Biography:

Joseph Blas, 102, a resident of North Riverside and formerly of Round Lake Beach, passed away Monday March 9, 2015 at his home. He was born December 16, 1912 in Poland to Adam and Eva Blaszczykiewicz. Joseph was a veteran and POW in World War II having served with the Polish Armed Forces. He was a member of Indian Hill Chapel in Round Lake Beach. Joseph is survived by his sons John Blas and Zenon (Rebecca) Blas, his sisters Maria, Agnes, Theresa, and Elizabeth. He was preceded in death by his wife Lottie. A visitation is scheduled for Friday March 13, 2015 from 6:00pm until 7:00pm with a funeral service commencing at 7:00pm at Indian Hill Chapel 36133 N. Fairfield Rd. Ingleside, IL 60041. Interment will take place privately at Highland Memorial Park Cemetery in Libertyville, IL. Memorials may be made to the church in Joseph’s name.
