Obituary's Biography:
John Homer Patton, 79, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away January 5, 2024 at Advocate Condell Hospital in Libertyville, IL. He was born April 25, 1944 in Chicago to Homer Patton and June Patton Speck.
John was a union carpenter for many years. He married the love of his life at 21 and had 58 years of not letting any grass grow under their feet. They were always on the go. He was loved by his family and everyone who met him. He will be dearly missed. He most enjoyed spending time with his family but enjoyed golf, and watching the Bears and White Sox. He fought hard in his last days for his family despite the odds that were against him. The family thanks the Grayslake EMT’S for all their efforts.
John is survived by his wife Candace (Lindgren) of 58 years, his children Shelley (Gregg) Stan of Grayslake, IL., Todd (Karrie) Patton of Round Lake, IL., Andy (Shelli) Patton of Anthem, AZ., his grandchildren Jared Stan, Paige Stan, Ryan Patton, Conner Patton, Camryn Patton, Drew Patton, Brady Patton, and Kyle Patton, His siblings Judy Hanson, Barbara (Roy) Johnson, and Richard (Terese) Williams. He was preceded in death by his father Homer Patton, his mother June Speck, his infant son Ryan Patton, and his siblings Larry Patton, and Gary Williams.
