Jeanne C. Bock, a 92-year-old Grayslake resident, formerly of Chicago, passed away Monday evening at The Willows in Vernon Hills. She was born in E. St. Louis, IL on July 20, 1921 to the now late John and Fay {nee Mills} Crowl. Jeanne retired from the Skokie Police Department in 1997. She was the loving mother of Linda Knight and James Bock; beloved grandmother of Kevin (Ann) Knight, Jennifer (Ryan) Barrett, Brian (fiancée Jen Hoff) Knight, Tim (Kari) Knight, and Sarah Bock; adoring great-grandmother of Ava, Nathan, Elle, Hailie, and Trevor. Her husband Robert W. Bock, Sr. and son Robert W. Bock, Jr. preceded her in death. Friends of the family may visit at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 on Thursday, August 8, 2013 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. The funeral service will commence at 10 a.m. on Friday, August 9, 2013, also at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium. Interment will follow at All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, reconvening at the cemetery office at 12:30, for escort to the committal chapel.
