James Retis, 67, of Round Lake passed away on March 7, 2015 at Lake Forest Hospital. James was born on September 22, 1947 in Chicago, to Albert, C. Mary Retis nee Tolush. James was an avid history buff, he really loved his home, and the landscaping, loved to cook, going to the race track, and betting on the ponies, but most of all loved spending time with his family and friends. James is survived by his sister Lillian Monhait of Chicago, Il, 2 Nephews Brad(Teresa)Schoff of Salem, Wi, Greg(Amy)Schoff of Janesville, Wi, 2 nieces Mya(Alec)Bethune of Louisville, Co, Tamar Monhait of Portland, Or, 4 great nieces Kensey Schoff, Abby Schoff, Kate Bethune, Julia Bethune, 2 great nephews Tyler Schoff, Jordan Schoff. James is preceded in death by his aforementioned parents, 2 sisters Cynthia Schoff, Cathy Yakeley. A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 2 P.M. till 4 P.M. with a memorial service starting at 4:00 P.M. at the Strang Funeral Chapel 410 E.
