Italo Reno Funari
Obituary's Biography:
Italo “Reno” Funari, 80, a resident of Grayslake, IL passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at Condell Medical Center. He was born January 15, 1936 in Highland Park to Nazarino and Amelia Funari. Reno graduated from New Trier High School before entering the US Army. He and his brother then took over his father’s business, Funari and Sons Landscaping. Reno’s family and his brother’s family then owned the Railroad Inn restaurant in Glenview. He most recently worked for Skokie Country Club as a bartender. Reno is survived by his wife of 57 years, Judy, his children Helen (Russ) Eslamirad and her former husband Ghasem, Rena Wils, Denise Funari, and Nick (Stefanie) Funari, his grandchildren Brittany (Jimmy), Tony, Emily, Brian (Amanda), Christopher, Amelia, and Gino, his great-grandchildren Madilynn and Logan, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Al Funari. A visitation and funeral service is scheduled for Friday December 30, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a funeral service commencing at 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
