Obituary's Biography:
Harry R. Goar, 83, a resident of Grayslake, IL, passed away January 29, 2024 at his home. He was born October 30, 1940 in Moline, IL to Harry and Ruth Goar.
Harry served during the Korean and Vietnam War and retired from the US Army having reached the rank of Chief Warrant Officer. He enjoyed playing golf and tennis and was an animal lover.
Harry is survived by his sons Tony (Cynthia) Goar and Ralph (Luis Alvarez) Goar, his grandchildren Alycia Goar and Andrew Goar, and his godson Jake Rauner. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Inge Goar, and his brother Robert Goar.
A memorial visitation and service are scheduled for Tuesday, February 6, 2024 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030 from 1:00pm until 2:00pm with the service commencing at 2:00pm. Inurnment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Save-A-Pet.
