Obituary's Biography:
Gregory George Gruber, age 67, of Antioch, formerly of Grayslake, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015 at the VA Hospital in Milwaukee, WI. He was born on November 17, 1947 in Chicago to George and Mary Gruber. A graduate of Carmel High School, class of 1966, Gregory was a veteran who served in the Army during the Vietnam War and a Purple Heart recipient. Gregory is survived his son Christopher (Yoshi); his fiancée Carol, his parents; his siblings, James (Paula) Gruber, Eileen (Jim) Siwula, Gerard (Jackie) Gruber, and George Gruber Jr.; his grandchildren, Maximus, Maiayna, and Mya. He was preceded in death by one sister, Maryann, and one brother, Eugene. Friends of the family may visit on Saturday, January 31, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at St. Gilbert Catholic Church 301 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 with the funeral mass commencing at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
