Gerald Michael Bryk Sr., age 74, a resident of Winfield, passed away, Monday, October 28, 2019 at Loyola Medical Center in Maywood. He was born October 2, 1945 in Chicago to Joseph and Bernice Bryk. He is survived by his children, Gerald M. Bryk Jr. of Glenview, Jennifer A. Bryk of Wauconda and Philip M. (Jennifer Malley) Bryk of Chicago; his stepdaughter, Lori Lenz of Cumming, GA; grandchildren, Alexandra (Josh) Massey of Marietta, GA, Emily Lenz of Cumming, GA, Braelyn Bryk of Glenview and Jordyn Bryk of Glenview; and two great-grandsons, Bryson Massey and Wyatt Massey. He is further survived by two siblings, Ann Marie (James) Wadas of Elgin and David (Iris) Bryk of Hoffman Estates. Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Gail Bryk; brothers, Joseph, Robert and Thomas and sisters, Connie Gillespie and Bernice Almeiva. A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Saturday, November 23, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with the service starting at 11:30 a.m. at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030.
