Eugene R. Frum

Obituary's Biography:

Eugene “Gene” R. Frum, 79, a resident of Volo and formerly of Arizona, passed away peacefully on March 12, 2022 at Central DuPage Hospital.  He was born May 30, 1942 in Chicago, IL to Eugene and Ethel Frum.  Gene was born in Chicago and moved to Round Lake at the age of 9, where he grew up and lived for 45 years until moving to Ingleside.  Gene was retired from ComEd after 30 years of service and was a devoted and loving husband and father.  After retiring Gene moved to Arizona and had recently moved back to Illinois.  Gene is survived by his wife of 61 years, Tina, whom he wed on June 11, 1960 in Round Lake, IL, his children Ron (Angie) Frum of San Tan Valley, AZ, Linda (Mark Sr.) Mahoney of Spring Grove, IL, Tracy Frum-Bozek of Ingleside, IL, and LeAnne (Marc) Harris of Palatine, IL, his grandchildren Christopher, Mark Jr., TJ, Karrie, Michael, Brittney, Craig, Susan, Aaron, and Jane, and his 9 great-grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his grandson Mark Mahoney Jr., his brother Merlin Frum, and his sister Ginger Piel.  A visitation will be held on Thursday, March 17, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd.
