Obituary's Biography:
Eugene James Siwik, age 84, of Grayslake, passed away Tuesday, August 18, 2015. He was born on January 27, 1931 in Chicago to Stanley and Bernice (Swiech) Siwik. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean War. Eugene loved to fish. He also liked making belt buckles, bead jewelry and bolo ties for craft shows. He loved working for Box Car Willie. Eugene is survived by his wife, Barbara, whom he married nearly 60 years ago on October 1, 1955 in Chicago; his children, Cindy (Allan) Kalvaitis of Buffalo Grove, Jim (Sandy) of Lander, Wyoming, Bob (Chris) of Mt. Prospect and Tom (Kim) of Arlington Heights; nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents. So sorry to hear of the passing away of Eugene. We knew there son Tom who was on PHFD when I was Deputy Chief on that Dept. My wife and I had a table right across from him and his wife at the Saddlebrook Farms craft sale.
