Obituary's Biography:
Emmit H. Lehman, 86, a resident of Grayslake, IL passed away Monday, July 11, 2016. He was born May 16, 1930 in Jackson, MI to Clarence and Mary Lehman. Emmit was a veteran having served with the US Army and was a Scout Master and Cub Pack Leader with the Boy Scouts. He worked in the food industry his entire career. Emmit enjoyed gardening, was an avid reader, and most of all was a devoted husband and father. Emmit is survived by his wife of 62 years, Juanita, his children Dale (Kathy), Gary (Marcy), Sheryl (Alfonso) Acevedo, and Linda, his grandchildren Andrea (Bill), Geoffrey, Melissa (Matt), Jocelyn,
Elizabeth (Joe), Samuel, and David, his great-grandchildren Bridget, Samara, Gabriel, Rose, and Eve, and his siblings Erma Lewis, Lloyd (Jeanine), Phidela (Raymond) Daniel, Gene (Karen) and Alice (Wayne) Purrett. He was preceded in death by his parents. A visitation and funeral service are scheduled for Saturday July 16, 2016 from 12:30pm until 1:30pm with the funeral service commencing at 1:30pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee. Memorial donations may be made to Advocate Hospice 365 Surryse Rd.
