Eleanor Jones

Obituary's Biography:

Eleanor Jones, 84, passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017.  Eleanor was born in Chicago, IL to Margaret and Herman Dally, on October 19, 1933.  At an early age, she and her family moved to Gages Lake, IL.  After marriage to her husband, Charles J.T. Jones, they made their home in Wildwood, IL where they raised five children and lived for many years.  Eleanor retired as a medical transcriptionist for the hospital at the Great Lakes Naval Training Center.  After her retirement she enjoyed traveling between her children’s homes in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Louisiana.  Her love for her family was the only thing greater than her love for crossword puzzles, reading, and listening to WGN radio.  She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother and will be greatly missed by all.  She was preceded in death by her parents Margaret and Herman Dally and her husband Charles John Thomas Jones.  She is survived by her children Evelyn (William) Ducote of New Iberia, LA, Steven (Sheila) Jones of Dallas, TX, Sharon (Kirby) McDaniel of Wadsworth, IL, Christopher (Jeannie) Jones of Lake Villa, IL and Janice (Steve) Brockway of Twin Lakes, WI.  She is also survived by her grandchildren Dominique Ducote, Lucas Jones, Katie Jones, Samantha Meza, Kegan McDaniel, Kenny Jones, Dean Jones, Jake Brockway, and Maddy Brockway, and her great-grandchildren, Hoyt Jones, Bronson Meza, and Frederick Meza. A private memorial ceremony for family only was entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030.
