Obituary's Biography:

Edeltraut “Trudy” Pruetting, a resident of Wildwood for over 53 years, passed away February 6, 2014, at the age of 79. Trudy was born July 13, 1934 in Germany to Will and Helene Kurzeja. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother for a longtime in her early years. Trudy was known for creating the name “Pink Beach”, by painting her own home pink, adjacent to the current Willow Point Park. Trudy is survived by her children Peter Pruetting, Andreas “Andy” (Kathy) Pruetting, and Angela Meyer, her grandchildren Wesley and Danielle Pruetting, Cassie Zell, Candace Pruetting, and Savannah and Bryce Meyer, and her 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Fredrick “Fritz” Pruetting and her son Barney Pruetting. A graveside service is scheduled for Tuesday February 11, 2014 from 11:30am at Millburn Cemetery in Millburn, IL. All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium.
