Douglas M. Schneider
Obituary's Biography:
Douglas M. Schneider, 37, a resident of Crystal Lake, IL, passed away October 17, 2024 at his home. He was born July 1, 1987 in Libertyville, IL to Donna and Donald Schneider.
In spite of his multiple medical ailments, Doug never let that hold him back from getting the most out of life. He was the strongest person I’ve known, taking each new hurdle in stride. Doug enjoyed music, attending concerts, and particularly enjoyed the music of the Beatles and Nirvana.
He was Boy Scout with Troop 299 from Grayslake and studied karate in his youth, while he was still physically able, and reached the level of Brown Belt. Doug enjoyed listening to stand-up comedians, often times relating them to everyday life. He loved traveling, and throughout his youth we visited many of the sites in the USA, including the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Strawberry Fields in New York.
Doug loved muscle cars from the 60’s, and restored his 1967 Mustang throughout his high school years with the help of his father, he loved the car. Doug loved life and didn’t let his multiple medical issues keep him from enjoying it. God rest his soul, he’s no longer in any pain.
Doug is survived by his mother Donna Schneider, his father Don (Karlene) Schneider, his brother Donald (Patty Fernandez) Schneider, his aunt Linda Bekey, his uncle’s David Schneider and Mike Monroe, his numerous cousins, and the most loved companion Clever.
