Obituary's Biography:

Donald N. Finney, age 89, a resident of Round Lake, IL, passed away on January 3, 2024 at Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL. Donald was born on December 27, 1934 to Donald Brooks and Ruby Lucille (nee Dawson) Finney. He loved bowling, riding his bike, dancing, and traveling especially cruising. Donald was an active member at Living Waters Church in Grayslake and also with Feed My Starving Children. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family and friends.

Donald is survived by his children, Michael (Laura), Kenneth (Cynthia), Lori, and Donna; his stepchildren, Loretta (Robert) Schell, and James Meyer; his grandchildren, Christopher, Adam, Tyler, Andrew, Ryan, Sarah (Tony) Clifford, and Megan (Randy) Jackson; his step grandchildren, Trinity Meyer, Mitchell Schell, and William Schell; his great grandchildren, Addison, Leo, Isaac, Alyssa, Evelyn, Randy (RJ), Oliver, and Aurora; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives, Grace and Marion; his daughter, Debra; and his brothers, Dennis and Jean.

A Memorial Service will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 12 noon. A visitation will be held at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 10am until the time of service. Interment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, flowers may be made to the American Heart Association. A luncheon will follow the memorial service at the Cultural and Civic Center in Round Lake Beach.
