Donald E. O’Machel, 74, a resident of Wildwood, IL, passed away Saturday, October 12, 2019 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest, IL. He was born February 13, 1945 in Chicago, IL to Edward and Ann O’Machel. Don was a Vietnam veteran having served for the US Navy. Work was Don’s hobby, he worked in Tool and Die most of his career and was a part owner of the O’Salon and Spa and O’Machel Properties. Don volunteered for the Classic Car Rally in Lake Geneva, WI. Don is survived by his wife of 54 years, Donna, his children Don E. (Patty) O’Machel Jr., Sean P. O’Machel, and Annmarie (Brian) Porras, his grandchildren Finn, Shea, McKenna, and Layla O’Machel, and his siblings Pat (Bob) Flaherty and Ray (Carla) O’Machel. He was preceded in death by his parents. A memorial visitation and memorial service is scheduled from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00pm with a memorial service commencing at 2:00pm on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
