Debra L. Gabl

Obituary's Biography:

Debra Lynn Gabl, 67, a resident of Gurnee, IL, passed away November 14, 2024 at her home.  She was born May 13, 1957 in Chicago, IL to Arthur and Leonore (nee: Simoncelli) Gabl.

Debby had a heart of gold and her generosity was endless.  She loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed cooking for others and seeing them enjoy it.  Debby was also a wonderful baker.  Everyone looked forward to her famous homemade pies and fudge every year at the holidays.  Debby was a very good listener and would offer her wisdom and advice when asked.  She had a way of bringing people together.  Debby was a strong, independent, fierce, brave, courageous and wonderful woman.  She will be missed terribly but will remain in our hearts forever and will never be forgotten.

Debra is survived by her mother Leonore Gabl of Gurnee, her sisters Linda (Scott) McCann of Ingleside, Leonore (Brian) Conway of Park Ridge, and Elaine (Patrick) Gorman of Grayslake, her nieces and nephews Michael Cummings of Channahon, IL, Kathleen (Brad) Tietz of Chicago, IL, Kimberly Conway of Park Ridge, Lauren Conway of Park Ridge, Kaitlyn Conway of Park Ridge, Sean Gorman of Grayslake, her great-nephew and great-niece Austin and Brynn Tietz of Chicago.  As well as her loving Uncle Wayne, Aunts and her many cousins.

She was preceded in death by her father Arthur and her sister Diane. 

A memorial mass will be held at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 6401 Gages Lake Road, Gurnee, IL 60031 at a later date.  All funeral arrangements were entrusted to Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E.
