Darwin L. Schwaderer
Obituary's Biography:
Darwin LeRoy Schwaderer, 92, a resident of Trevor, WI, passed away February 6, 2022 at Archwood Senior Living in Salem, WI. he was born January 26, 1930 in Alliance, NE to Gotthilf and Emma Schwaderer. Darwin was retired from the US Navy after 20 years of active service and 10 years of reserve duty and was also retired from Abbot Laboratories after 25 years of service. He was a member of the United Protestant Church in Grayslake, the Fleet Reserve Association, and a past member of American Society of Safety Engineers, American Industrial Hygiene Association, and the VFW. Darwin married his wife, Elinor (nee: Behning), on January 3, 1954.
Darwin is survived by his children, Kim (Carl) Lenzen, Bernard Schneider, Peggy (the late Mike) Gray, Jim (Connie) Schneider, his grandchildren Dawnisa (Steve) Binns, Bernard Schneider III, Douglas (Christa) Schneider, Daniel Schneider, Robert (Peggy) Gray, Steven Gray, Jimmy (Tracie) Schneider, Stephanie (Steve) Schar, and Jacquelyn Richmond, his 20 great-grandchildren, and his 12 great-great-grandchildren, and his sister Lois Piester. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Elinor, his brother Dallas, and his sister Maybelle.
A visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 4:00pm until 8:00pm. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 at 10:30am at the United Protestant Church 54 S. Whitney St. Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will be held after the services at Avon Centre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the United Protestant Church.
