Obituary's Biography:

Clara Link, age 78, a resident of Round Lake, passed away Monday, January 27, 2014 at JourneyCare in Barrington. She was born February 5, 1935 in Germany to Olga and Ludwig Schroeder. Clara loved to crochet and cook, but, more than anything, she loved to be a Grandma. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Frank, whom she married on December 12, 1959 in Forest Park; sons, John (Carol) of Hainesville and Frank of Genoa City, WI; grandchildren, Catherine of Omaha, NE and David of Hainesville; and siblings, Siegfried (Jayne) Schroeder of Beloit, WI and Else Schmidt of Germany. She was preceded in death by her parents, Olga and Ludwig; one sister, Hilma Schlenhardt; and brothers, Paul and Bob Schroeder. Friends of the family may visit from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 East Belvidere Road (Route 120) in Grayslake, IL 60030. The funeral service will be held at 8:00 pm, Wednesday, January 29, 2014 at the funeral chapel.
