Obituary's Biography:

Charles E. Green a resident of Hainesville, passed away Tuesday November 5, 2013, at the age of 89. He was born October 30, 1924 in Missouri to Chester and Mary (nee: Vertrese) Green. Charles was a Hainesville Trustee. He loved to work around the house, working on cars, and being with his family. Charles is survived by his children Charlotte (Doug) Bartlett of Ramona, CA, Doris (Ken) Wanagas of Spring Grove, IL, Charles Green Jr. of Abilene, TX, and Gloria Green of Fox Lake, IL, his two local grandchildren Jessica Mitchell and Nicholas Pritchard, 8 other grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his 4 sisters, and his 5 brothers. Friends of the family may visit on Friday November 8, 2013 from 12:00pm until 1:00pm with a funeral service commencing at 1:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium 410 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Interment will follow at Avon Centre Cemetery in Grayslake, IL. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the American Lung Association.
