Obituary's Biography:

Cathy L. Maynen, age 71, a resident of Grayslake, passed away Thursday, October 7, 2021 at her home. She was born January 20, 1950 in Chicago to Adam and Frieda Condie. She was a member of a Missouri Synod Lutheran Church. Cathy is survived by her husband of 28 years, John, who she married in Mount Prospect on May 22, 1993; children, Kevin Carlisle of Round Lake, Lauren Rost of Port Neches, TX, David Maynen of Grayslake, Michael Maynen of Grayslake, and Sarah Maynen of Madison, WI; and grandchildren, Takoda Kane, Sebastian Rost, Alex Rost and Kinsley Rost all of Port Neches, TX. She was preceded in death by her father, Adam Condie, her mother, Frieda Schroeder Condie, her brother-in-law, Joseph Maynen and her cousin, Richard Schroeder. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with the service commencing at 3:00pm at Strang Funeral Chapel & Crematorium, 410 East Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to Lutheran Church Charities, 3020 Milwaukee Avenue, Northbrook, IL 60062.
