Obituary's Biography:
Carole A. Thompson, age 79, passed away on November 4, 2021. She was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago to Vernon and Lorraine Aeppli (Lor & Apps).
She is survived by her sons, Michael (Janet) Speck of Morton Grove, IL and Todd (Jessica) Speck of Burlington, WI; her granddaughters, Jessica Speck of Chicago, IL and Maria Speck of San Diego, CA; and her brother, Scott Aeppli of Maple Park, IL. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Thompson.
Carole was a world traveler, an avid golfer and card player, a lover of movies and musicals, and Willie Nelson’s #1 fan.
Visitation will be held at Strang Funeral Chapel, 410 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 10:00am. A brief service will follow at the funeral chapel at 11:00am. Interment will be held privately at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. For more information, please call 847-223-8122.

I am going to miss you big time. You were my protector when I was just a little kid, and always since then. Rest well big Sister, we will all miss you.
Carol was a fun person to be around. When she was here at the park we would go thrift shopping . We would laugh all day with her.we sure are going to miss her. Don’t worry she is probably having fun in heaven with all the people that got there first. Love you RIP
